Chychrun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLGenius</b></div><div>I think value-wise, Guhle (great top 2/4 potential) an asset that can play on a NHL roster (Lehky) and two draft picks including a first is a very fair price for Chychrun. But I don't see why AZ would let him go since his contract is cheap and he's starting to have a bigger role with the yotes.</div></div>
I agree

Lekhonen
Thats a good price for Lehkonen. I doubt he moves though, he's so important.

Younger
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habs4ever</b></div><div>Kris Letang is from Quebec, but he shoots Right. Habs have Webber and Petry. Plus giving up hard hitter in Fleury that is young. Letang is already 33. A good player but Montreal passes and I have not even mentioned Domi yet. Pass!</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLGenius</b></div><div>The deal itself is not that bad. At that price, PIT must retain a part of the salary though because I think that MTL slightly overpays here. If that trade happens, Petry should be on the move because our team doesn't have any more space for top2/4 RHD. And like your saying, Petry is younger and already a big part of our defense. I personally see more of a match with Toronto that lacks RHD.</div></div>
I definitely get your concern about the 3 RHD. I just think that one more really good defenseman puts them in a great position. A hometown guy like Letang can be a huge add for them, but I get that he may not be the dman they are looking for. I thought of Toronto, but the cap involved would be hard to manage.

We must strike while the iron is hot
Danault is one of the most underrated players in the NHL but I still can’t see the Sabres giving up the 7th overall pick for him, especially when they’ll likely only have him on the second line. I honestly think Montreal should keep/extend him when it’s time

Just an idea Offseason flat cap Jarry Anderson Graves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLGenius</b></div><div>Very interesting! I know that Graves is a good player for COL. But with Byram coming as a LHD and with their need of a top 6 forward, I was seeing a match here.
Tatar would surely sign an extension, at his age, most definitely team-friendly deal, with Colorado being one of the best NHL team in a clear win-now window. Surely Tatar>Namestnikov, but Namestnikov is a nice option too.
In this Trade, Jarry can be seen as a B-Starter. Backup goalies has been a problem here for a while. I wanted a goaltender that would share the load more and give Price breaks more often. A comparison can be made with Rask and Halak, Halak being a "deluxe" backup.
Very interesting take tho thanks for your comment!</div></div>
Thanks for your thoughtful reply!
Graves to Montreal makes sense from the perspective that we have an abundance of LHD, but I think we'll be loathe to moving Graves until Byram actually shows that he's a top 4 Dman in the NHL.
Tatar would be an awesome setup man for Burakovsky, but I don't think Sakic is going to pay premium assets for a pure rental. What do you think Tatar's next contract will be?
Interesting idea with a deluxe backup. Jarry could be expensive as a backup though, meaning that you would have an awful lot of money tied into two goalies.

GO HABS GO
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLGenius</b></div><div>I undertsand that Larkin is a very important player on your team! But lets stay rationnal, Montreal is overpaying by a mile here in terms of value. I agree that Larkin is the best player here, but if Yzerman gets Drouin, Domi, Juulsen (NHL ready), Poehling (future 2nd/3rd C), and 8th overall Pick on a incredible draft top 10, he just accelerated his rebuild significantly! I don't think that Bergevin would pay that honestly, thats a lot. Larkin is still a beast tho i would love him as a montreal centerman.</div></div>
Bottom line after the fiasco in Tampa there's noway Yzerman would have any interest in Drouin ever again. Domi doesn't move the needle and Detroit is set at RD for the foreseeable future. So like i said Drouin, Domi nor juulsen make any sense for us. Larkin would return a far better package then this. Larkin+ easily returns Zach Werenski not pieces we don't need or want. The #8 pick would be nice but that's the only decent piece coming out of this trade.
