Aves give back ottawa pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Banjokat</b></div><div>No way Avs would do this.
Stone is a bully who just wants a long term deal.
Throwing away Timmins and a possible top5 pick is just plain stupidity IMHO.
I know getting Chabot as well reasons with throwing away Timmins and OTTs pick. But still. Nope.</div></div>
I agree he would want a long term deal but it would be in between Patches and what Neal signed in Calgray 6.5 for 7 or 8 would probably be what it would take for an excellent all around player who would add some much needed scoring depth. I think most people would agree Chabot is and will be the better player if you changed the 2nd round pick to San Jose First 2020 or even just add the pick with the 2nd would you think its closer to getting done?

Reinhart has 3-20 goal seasons 40+ points on Buffalo I think he can top that playing with Backstrom or Kuznetsov

Thread:
keeping Carlson
There is a good chance Carlson will be up for the Norris this year as he is currently leading the league in defense scoring which will make PK Subban probably the perfect comparison. I would like to see your argument for not signing him to 9 mil. Trading a goalie is hard such limited market I didn't want to trade him to the Islanders because I don't think you want to trade him in your division Buffalo's pick will be to high even for a 1 for 1 trade scenario so I figured it was a good deal to get some help on the wing and a couple high second round picks. 2018 will probably be 33-35 just outside the first. As for Chiasson and Holden thought they were decent players there is still 1.8m you can sign different players if you choose too they were more so place holders we are talking about bottom of the lineup depth here.

Was looking through old teams that I created you guys were so against this trade at the start of the year looking at it now the three guys I was trading for from Buffalo probably don't get you Phil on his own let a lone the other three pieces I was offering.

I want the GM Job
I think it would have to start with one of Dermott or Liljegren and a 1st rounder and Bracco or a 2nd round pick. Big cost controlled RHD similar package to what Hamonic received but I think in these case you need a NHL ready Dman back plus additional piece

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaptainFlynnt</b></div><div>I don't think that lands you Tavares. There will be multiple teams in on Tavares and if I am Montreal I'm offering $12M for Tavares and keeping my draft picks.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Larkinisking</b></div><div>Teams out there will offer John Tavares Connor McDavid money, Will take far more then $11.25 to sign Tavares and i doubt he has much interest in Calgary.</div></div>
Tax rate in Alberta is very favorable making 11.25 (6.8 after tax) in Calgary allows him to take home over 1 million more than making 12 million in Montreal (5,760,000 after tax)

Also very risk for Preds with 2018 picks involved you would have to do before or at the draft without knowing you actually have Tavares signed.

Thoughts?
I think your proposal for Muzzin is falling well short of what it would take the 3rd would have to be a 1st and even then you would probably have to throw in Bowey or Djoors.

Fantasy Bruins Roster (Part 2/2)
I see your a big fan of McDonagh I like the trade but I think you are over paying for him you are essentially trading 4 First round picks I would take away one of Frederic or the 2018 first. I also think your over paying him by 1 mil or so but I like the idea and its rare to see an over payment on here.

Fresh idea for 3rd line centre
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Toddyd77</b></div><div>thats quite an overpayment for Reimer and Bjugstad. Reimer has had a very shakey year so i don't view him as an upgrade over Jarry or a reliable back up for Murray.
Bjugstad would be a great addition I think some different parts need to be in place.</div></div>
I thought so too I wasn't sure how much you would have to included for Florida to eat Haglin's contract as well as retaining 1.4m of Remier. The deal isn't so much up grading over Jarry as it about getting a decent back up who you could probably move again to clear cap and getting a Centre help without taking from the current team.

Deadline
I don't mind the idea of Burakovsky+ for Kane I think it would be a good deal for the caps Kane paired with Wilson on that second line would be scary open up a lot of space for Kuznetsov. I just think Bowey and a 2nd is to much I think just put a 1st rounder in would be fair.

If Calgary is trading Brodie to ottawa they are asking for hoffman back or Brodie+ for Stone not for a backup and a guy that would only fit in as a #5 Dman

All in for next couple years
My thought was no way he plays the last 3 years of the deal for 1m a year so your looking at 5 more years and no cap penalties when he retires Chevi has done such a good job in the draft a couple high end prospects for a player like Weber wont mortgage the future. And the real cash has already been paid so your technically only paying him under 5M a year .

Yep! Your not the only fan that's allowed to over value your players... lol
As for the trade to PHI - why oh why do we care about giving Johnny what he wants - trade him to LA or Vegas - his poor Mom will faint!!! : )</div></div>
So the #10 best prospect on Craig Button's list (Myers) and the a consensus top pick for two years (Patrick) is overvaluing my prospects? How does that make sense? Patrick will most likely be better than Bennett and Myers will eventually become our #2 defensemen w/ Ivan Provorov.
I wouldn't mind Gaudreau, just I'm not willing to trade prospects for established players, and neither is Ron Hextall.</div></div>
Bennett had better point per game totals in his draft year than Patrick did was drafted in a stronger draft class which is why he went 4th. Grudreau is a point per game player and just entering his prime year at 23. I didn't realize Myers was that highly ranked so maybe something else needs to be added from Calgary or change meyers for morin.

I think you guys are over valuing him so I will met you in the middle. I know wash is stacked but he is on their third pairing and offers no offense at all. If it turns out he goes for more than this you shouldn't sign him. no better than a Marc Methot if he is who makes 4.9 so i think 5.5 is fair
