Make it MEV for all i care
Just was taking a cap dump with term for a payday
Doesnt matter to me which one
That said if its MEV then that 1st is in 2022 not 2024
There is no potentially flipping him
Just using him during a rebuild until he retires basically

Armia has two goals on the season over Lemieux’s 8, Durzi has been exceptional as a rookie. Why are the Kings (who are in 2nd place in the division) selling good players who bring grit and intensity to a tanking team?

Yup, I do. They are mostly worthless. And can confuse player values. Most people have no idea what they are looking at with those charts. And have no idea how loose collection is and how the models are overwhelmed with every sort of bias just so they can 'fit' their data into their perceptions.
All of these 'chartmakers' are just clickbait social media accounts.

These are all rational trades, this site just likes to hate on Montreal.
I made a Toffoli trade about a month ago that was Kylington, a 1st, 2023 3rd and 5th for Toffoli and I got ganged up on that, and then we got a better return than a waivered player 1 season removed.
Before that I asked a 1st alone from Florida for him and also got hate for it from this site.

you could say Ottawa retains 50% on Zaitsev but I still don't think Montreal would be interested , Zaitsev not the type of player I would want to bring in if I was doing a rebuild. I have heard thru the media that Guenette is doing well in Belleville but a 7th round pick having a good year in the AHL is not exciting me , then again he may turn out to be decent. Since Montreal is rebuidling I think you would have to offer a young player with promise. Nothing wrong with Savard staying in Montreal , they are going to need some vets.

I like where you are going here but like Marchy said that Montreal offer needs some serious sweetening. I really like the Crouse addition.

TDL HABZ No cringe ffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tarlam01</b></div><div>Unlike Zucker, Hoffman has been playing in Montreal. I get that he didn't play all too well but neither Zucker has. Hoffman, on the other hand, has a unique skill revolving around the Power Play. Something that Zucker simply doesn't have anymore. Hoffman can be a deadly depth weapon to use on a your 1st or 2nd wave. I also feel like Pittsburgh has the tools to bring him back to his old form. He was still a great producer while he wasn't on Montreal last year. I feel like the Montreal effect isn't considered enough while evaluating current players playing for them</div></div>
So here's the thing...
Regardless of what you're saying, the Pens would be gambling on the fact what you're saying is correct and adding a year of contract on their books, so if it doesn't work out then they're in a worse position than they are now. FWIW, Zucker is a superior player in every other aspect of the game which you can easily verify by analyzing the underlying stats. Zucker is a very good 200ft player who brings speed and grit, so at the very least the Pens are a better team when Zucker is on the ice. When Hoffman isn't scoring, he's basically a ghost out there.
So yeah, you may right in how he'd fit, but it's still a gamble at the end of the day and they shouldn't have to ADD for that possibility. If this trade went down I think it's a fair 1-for-1.

This site hates the Habs. They just go "points go brrr" without knowing what he was good for.
For the ones who want to know, hes good at throwing hits, which is great for playoffs as we have seen.
He also did over 20 minutes average toi last season with Weber, Petry and Edmundson

Iv been on here long enough to remember when people told me Pacioretty would only go for a 2nd rounder because he was playing poorly before being traded, it's the same now.
While I don't think Detroit is the place he ends up, MTL is still going to get good assets in return for him.

It's fair value for Savard but I can't see the Habs trading him away. He's one of the only 2 RDs in the organization under contract for next season.

I’m not saying you don’t take Wright at 1, I mean getting 2nd overall won’t be the worst thing

There is a pretty good chance he returns a 1st simply because of what he brings in post-season play as well as lack of other options. Supply and demand has a large effect at the deadline

I like it. Most of it seems down to earth, though I'd predict less for Mike Hoffman and less for Artturi Lehkonen, as <a href="/users/Marchy6363" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Marchy6363</a> said.
