PWHL Minnesota players to sign
Amanda Kessel is a Special Assistant to Kyle Dubas with the Penguins. I don't think she is going to leave that job to play in a 24-game women's league.

How I think Teams should have drafted
You have the Penguins still drafting Yager, which they will regret. They should have taken Perreault; even Moore, Barlow, or Wood. Just like last year when they selected Pickering instead of Snuggerud. This team always drafts poorly. I could go back to 2006 when they took Staal instead of Bäckström, Toews. or Kessel. 2007: when they took Esposito instead of Pacioretty...on and on and on...2016: Gustavsson who they picked in the second round and traded. 2018: Calen Addison who also they also picked in the second round and traded. 2019: Poulin instead of Tomasino...terrible drafting, just terrible. ....

How I think it should’ve went
I see you have the Penguins drafting Gabe Perreault, which is who I wanted. Yet they always blow it when they have a first-round pick. 2006 - Staal instead of Towes or Bäckström. 2007 - Esposito instead of Pacioretty. 2008 - Moon instead of Nyquist. 2009 - Despres instead of O'Reilly. 2011 - Morrow instead of Rakell. 2012 - Pouliot instead of Trouba or Forsberg, Määttä instead of Matheson or Skjei. 2014 - Kapanen instead of Pastrnak or McCann. 2015 - Sprong instead of Dunn, 2016 - Gustavsson; should have kept, Björkqvist instead of Fox. 2018 - Calen Addison; should have kept, Filip Hållander; should have kept. 2019 - Poulin instead of Kaliyev or Tomasino. 2022 - Pickering instead of Snuggerud. 2023 - Yager instead of Perreault, Wood, Moore, or Barlow (this draft was rigged for Chicago to get Bedard).

redraft top 16 with quick explications
As a Penguins fan, I always make my own pick for them and I always chose a better player than they do. Yager was a mistake; I wanted Perreault. Last year they should have drafted Snuggerud instead of Pickering. 2020 instead of Poulin, it should have been Tomasino or Kaliyev. I can go all the way back to 2006 when they picked Jordan Staal instead of Toews or Backstrom. I can't believe how incredibly stupid they have drafted lo these many years.

Is Dubey a Good GM
Poulin is better at center but will be a bust anyway. I don't like trading first-round picks, but the Penguins don't know how to draft anyway. Yager instead of Wood, Barlow, Moore, Perreault. Pickering instead of Snuggerud. Poulin instead of Tomasino or Kaliyev. This goes all the way back to Jordan Staal instead of Nick Bäckström or Jonathan Toews; Angelo Esposito over about 100 guys, notably Max Pacioretty. Terrible drafting, just terrible...

Dubas should change his name to Dumb-ass, especially the way he passed on four players better than Yager in the draft and now these garbage signings. Expect to miss the playoffs for a long time now.

Draft grades night 1
As a Penguins fan, I wanted Perreault. As their pick came near I also hoped for Moore. Wood, or Barlow. Instead, they select Yager and he will just be another Poulin. It doesn't matter who runs the Penguins, they just suck at drafting ... every single damn year since 2006.

Run for the cup
Sid isn't making $8.7 million. That is his cap hit from the 12-year contract he signed in 2013-14. His base salary for the final three years of that contract is $3 million/year. Now, Letang's base salary for his new six-year deal will be $8 million for the first two years, $6.2 million for year three, and $4.8 million for the last three years. Letang will be making $1.8 million more/year when he is 40 and 41 than Crosby is now. Sure, Letang probably could have gotten more if he went free agent, but it appears he has some class and loyalty to Penguins fans. Look at Malkin's last two seasons compared to Crosby. Malkin played in 74 games and put up 70 points; not even a point per game. Crosby played in 124 games and scored 146 points. Malkin's game is failing and you want to pay him 7.5 Million? He would be lucky to get $6 million/year on a three-year deal. If he wants more, let him walk, and be some other team’s problem.

Next Year
You guys kill me with all of the hair-brained signings. Why would/should the Penguins give two-year contracts to garbage RFA and UFAs? They need to extend Malkin, Rust, Letang, Carter, Rodrigues, Kapanen, Heinen, Aston-Reese, and perhaps Domingue, as well as Nylander, Bellerive, Joseph, and Lee; the rest are useless. They should sign Svejkovsky, Ansons, and maybe Phillips. They also need another right-handed defenseman. Perhaps Colin Miller, even Robert Bortuzzo would be better than their current third pair options. Maybe they could make an offer to Tony DeAngelo. Noah Dobson or Adam Boqvist would come discounted. Zucker needs to go, but they can only get a draft pick for him. Let’s use some common sense on this interactive portion of this site. PHARROW RULES! HE SHOULD BE THE PENGUINS GM.
