Isn't their a new Draft Addendum stating Vegas can target pending-UFAs and if successful, they fulfill said Teams' required contribution...?

Hypothetically-speaking, how soon could Detroit announce his Extension...? Would be funny if they Signed him for $2M x 1 Year, then announced his Extension for $6M x 6 the following Day...

Thread:
WPG (2016-2017)
If Coburn is "regressing bad", why would Tampa Bay's Coach allot him more Penalty Killing Minites than other Lightning Skater Last Season...?
Once again, last year, Helm's penalty-differential was outstanding; only 6 NHLers drew more penalties than Helm... this article helps quantify the impact:
<a href="http://www.tsn.ca/drawing-penalties-a-valuable-nhl-skill-1.192784" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.tsn.ca/drawing-penalties-a-valuable-nhl-skill-1.192784</a>
Since only one team (Arizona) allowed more power play goals last year than Winnipeg, they could do worse than adding a Defenseman who paced his entire team's short-handed minutes to neutralize opponents' power plays and a forward who has season after season (including last season) distinguished himself from the rest of the NHL with respect to drawing penalties...
... in short, Coburn improves the penalty-kill, and Helm creates power plays... Winnipeg's Achilles Heel - PPGA - is thus substantially-less...
... and they would begin the offseason with an extra opportunity to draft a home run...
...by only shedding two defectors and addressing needs...

Great feedback!
RE: Hanzal - pending-UFA, so there will be room next season...
RE: Fleischmann - pending-UFA (on the 1st-line, he will stock should be more valuable at the trade deadline)...
RE: Strome, R.: as of today, McGinn will be Arizona's highest-paid forward at $3.33M next year... and Doan stated he won't return next year... in context, is Strome better than McGinn...?
The plan: Fleischmann surprises and presents an attractive option for playoff teams that cannot afford Hanzal... both return Assets... the younger Strome surprises in his 10-game audition (like Domi and Duclair) and merits a roster-spot alongside his brother...

Detroit could probably retain a little more... Anaheim could ink Lindholm and/or Rakell for less... editing...
About $4M worth of space now... and plenty more when Bernier's contract is off-the-books...

Big 4th-line...
Enstrom trade works for Winnipeg because it allows the team to protect seven forwards instead of four; currently, Carolina would be forced to expose Faulk with all other Defensemen exempt... the trade would be theoretically-conditional on Enstrom waiving his NMC at the end of the Season in Carolina so they can protect Faulk...
Winnipeg would have at least a 1st- and 2nd-round pick at the Draft, with potentially two of each...

They get a conditional 1st round pick from Detroit, Callahan, Nyquist (retained salary), and Smith...
... but this site doesn't factor 3-team swaps (yet?) - doesn't allow to show Anaheim's and Detroit's exchange...

ANA (2016-2017)
Cool take - appreciate the insight!
Underlying assumptions: Anaheim's front office has cold feet about Kesler's Contract... and they persuade his move... Despres still suffers from lingering side effects, hence Smith... and the front office persuades Theodore to "ripen" a bit more for a bonus 1st rounder from Detroit... Anaheim swaps Smith at the Deadline for even more Assets and activates Theodore for the Playoffs run after he tears up the AHL... Callahan is bottom-six depth as opposed to those others you delineated who have higher ceilings and would expect bigger raises long-term...

DET (2016-2017)
Long-term: increases the likelihood of a swap for budget-teams like Anaheim and Winnipeg...
Nyquist at $3.75 is easier in year 3 or 4 than other options, for example Tatar whom would probably command $5+ for comparable production...
