Yeah I took a gander at all the other off-season Canucks rosters, 5 million raise is definitely something.

Replace Clurman with Johanson, the 2025 1st with 2024 1st and add (a 2nd maybe) for taking Johanson.
Buffalo would have the assets to trade for a RHD (Borgan LOL).</div></div>
I'm mainly acquiring Borgen because I'm trading out Manson in the summer.
Our playoff RD looks better with Borgen, Borgen allows less PK for makar
Toews Makar
Girard Manson
Byram Borgen
Johnson malinski

Here is the skinny the Sabres have 5 forward prospects 20 yo or younger better than Ritchie, but none are 6' 2".
Take the best player available is a winning strategy in drafting and this would be a nice return for Buffalo.
Use some of the assets from this trade to obtain a RHD.
Make it 2024 first.
BTW Seattle says new.
Taking on Johanson kills the deal.</div></div>
It's like a 3 team trade, but not completely. If you guys held on to your own 1st , two 1sts in the same draft could get a quality RHD. Johansen allows the room for mittelstadt basically. Unless we can get a proven backup for RyJo.

Ritchie could either be used to get better wing/D or once he signs his elc could be a cheep 3C. Who not what do you want for Casey?

I believe Girard could return a #5D on a cheaper contract and a pick/prospect

So, no you wouldn't trust your management with 4 1sts in two drafts. I think two firsts could pry a very good winger, just like two seconds got us toews.

I'm thinking Byram helps us get lindholm, and Ritchie and the picks gets us hanifin. Byrams Rfa status also allows Calgary team control.

You only trade all of those assets for long term pieces. In this scenario, Colorado doesn't have the ability to extend these guys. They can extend Lindholm in certain scenarios though.</div></div>
Yeah I'm only paying this price for a very good chance at a cup, then you re-sign lindholm, ask Manson to waive.

2 x 1st round picks + another 1st round pick prospect + a young RD who was drafted 4th overall in 2019 + a guy who is on pace for 20 goals.
Both guys are pending UFA's.
Lindholm makes sense. Hanifin does not.</div></div>
I think I could change one of the 1st to a 2nd and it'd probably be better. I want to see some Calgary posters though
