Keep Kane
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Octopus_Guy</b></div><div>I like the best American born player of all time vs an AHL prospect</div></div>
It depends on what caphit and term Kane is looking for. Pavelski got 7Mx3y at age 35, Zuccarello(36) 4,25Mx2y, Kopitar(36) 7Mx2y and Malkin (36) 6,1Mx4y and they are all point per game players like Kane. If he wants 3 years, then I think its better to move on and play Berggren.

I'd take Fabbri and that 3rd over Pacioretty as well.

I'm sure Nylander fetches that contract.
I hope not here. It'll age terribly.

He’s a 20 year old goalie… they take time to develop.

Is the ceiling 90pts this year

Sure but all of Seider, Petry, Chiarot, Holl, Gost, Maata and Walman aren't guys that should be a healthy scratch or #7 type so unless they're gonna go 11F/7D then something needs to give imo and going 11/7 isn't ideal either, the Wings also have too many legit NHL forwards to go 11/7 so there's that.
I get injuries can happen but it just seems like one of those dmen not named Seider needs to go.

Ah that makes sense. I think he would do the same in VAN. I just don’t see him being traded before playing a game post extension. I’d be okay with it for a 2nd lol

TDL if VAN is in the hunt I could see it, but most likely for a 3rd. Prices obviously go up, but I don’t think Maata will do for Holl/Chiarot what he did with Hronek lol. I could see him elevate Ghost similarly, but not to that extent.

Boeser Blockbuster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>I don't see how thats possible given he had significantly worse metrics last season than Hronek</div></div>
He did. He covered for Filip's defensive deficiencies like no other partner have been able to do before. With Määttä as his partner Hronek went from being a defensive liability that was worst on the team in +/- to being an offensive juggernaut with a positive +/-. It was a transformation like night and day.

He really elevated Hronek's game, could be worth it.

One More Move
To have 6 right shots in our forward group is absurd considering where we were 2 years ago. That will give the wings so much more balance. Not that far removed from Marty Frk being our only right shot up front.
I think both Kasper and Mazur push for a spot, but barring injuries, I'm just not sure who they would bump and would be happy enough to see them have success together in GR.
On the back end, I feel similarly to the forward group. Until edvinsson is back healthy, I don't see the prospects getting a spot unless there are injuries

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DeadWingsv2</b></div><div>I think you need a heavy player on each of the top lines, Ras on one, Perron on the other probably make sense to start, but even he isn't getting any younger and plays bigger than he is. My ideal opening night lineup involves moving Copp to the wing and slotting Kasper in at 3C:
DeBrincat-Larkin-Copp
Ras-Compher-Raymond
Berggren-Kasper-Perron
Kostin-Veleno-Sprong
Fabbri
Fischer
Swap in Fabbri in any of those bottom 6 roles you desire if he's healthy...</div></div>
I think we see Perron on top line and Copp on 3rd.
Kasper certainly plays heavy enough for that line.

Red Wings 2425 cap room
- Raymond will probably make a little less, but it really depends on how he does this year.
- Seider will likely be signed for more, on a long term deal.
- Ras will likely get more money and a lot more term.
- Cossa needs to win the starting job in GR and dominate, or he's likely still 2 years away. Goalies are usually longer to develop and you rarely see a 21 year old goalie in the NHL.
Also, the cap is projected to be close to 88m next season (87.7 is the current projection)

Time for Hughes to strike
Lol he just spends another year in Grand Rapids. Comes up possibly with injuries. His game still needs fine tuning and personally I want to see him put up some decent point totals in the AHL. Either way he isn't getting rushed, we are definitely going to take our time with him and let his body develop into that frame.

When your Coach and GM say at their season ending presser, That the team needs to get bigger and stronger upfront. The very last player you trade is your 6'8" Behemoth in Elmer Soderblom.
