    Don’t see Florida doing that

    I wouldn’t give up a 2nd for Maatta

He really elevated Hronek's game, could be worth it.

It’s going to take more then a 5th round pick to get the Hawks to take that Pearson contract, think a 2nd just like last season with Dickinson.

I don't see how thats possible given he had significantly worse metrics last season than Hronek

Detroit is not going to trade Määttä after just extending him.

He did. He covered for Filip's defensive deficiencies like no other partner have been able to do before. With Määttä as his partner Hronek went from being a defensive liability that was worst on the team in +/- to being an offensive juggernaut with a positive +/-. It was a transformation like night and day.

Hawks decline. They have absolutely no need for Pearson, and a 5th isn't close incentive wise to take him.

TDL if VAN is in the hunt I could see it, but most likely for a 3rd. Prices obviously go up, but I don’t think Maata will do for Holl/Chiarot what he did with Hronek lol. I could see him elevate Ghost similarly, but not to that extent.

But I think the person was saying if he did that for Hronek in Detroit then why couldn't he do it in Vancouver with Hronek?

Ah that makes sense. I think he would do the same in VAN. I just don’t see him being traded before playing a game post extension. I’d be okay with it for a 2nd lol
