I looked and the Habs are probably the best fit now that I think of it. They have nothing on the right side and they have five million in space they can use to take the full contract. Oilers 7th this year and San Jose's Fifth probably does the job.

Fair, I think another team would still look at him. My point was Ceci is worth something still. He is still a solid 5th guy a coach can rely on.

Maybe they are more desperate now. Also Ullmark has a NTC and given how both teams are doing now he might say hell no. RNH has a full NMC. He won't go anywhere.

Ceci has value, why do you think the Oilers haven't moved him? I think Ceci could be used in a Karlsson trade.
The whole Package I would put at a 1st, and two 2nds. I think that's fair value, especially for a guy on an expiring contract.

Sounds like he would take $7.5 from Vegas by 8, and furthermore another trade is expected to get to the floor, I'm thinking Marty on D

As reported by Friedman, they are looking to extend both LB and AH, have been shopping the all-star as they believe AH is their starter of the future.

Rumor is from local reporters, is that Ownership wanted an upgrade on goaltending at the TDL, which was one of the main things they fired Hextall for, besides the obvious garbage fire he created.

Becoming a championship team next year
Well this probably never happens with Kulak. He is one of the most solid value contracts in today's cap era. He would be worth at least a 2nd and high prospect, plus he is great for our needs. The expendable defenseman is Cody Ceci if anything, and frankly how Erik Johnson helps I have no clue. I would say Erik Karlsson being a major player still, would be the guy you would want to target still at the draft.
Furthermore, Bjugstad is rumored to get a contract offer as high as 3-4 million, we simply can't afford that, so he will walk. Pure rental for us, I think we try and keep Ryan around, but we need some new blood every year too though, and more Bjugstad's will come along at next years TDL. And the Bouchard contract oilers will look to get under 4.

Out of the Box Thinking
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JJstings315</b></div><div>Yea I don't think this is very smart of the penguins. I like the Varlamov signing, does he sign for that, probably, and he is a solid option. I think looking at the penguins though the biggest thing I see the need for is a total overhaul of their bottom 6, and goaltending. If they were smart, they would trade for Carter Hart.</div></div>
I just see a lot of giving up futures for dumping, and tbh since the penguins got probably the worst system of all 32 teams, I would say that's just stupid.

Well, based on what I have heard, even though Jarry wants to stay, most likely wont. With that being said, I think the pens make a move for Hart and Hayes. Just my personal opinion with Philly reporters and national insiders expecting a rebuild there.

Flyers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DH28Hockey</b></div><div>I don't see any of those 3 guys moved for very different reasons:
Hart: Just don't think they'll get the value to justify that move, would take a team really, really stepping up to the plate with a great offer
Couturier: Nobody is going to pay for a guy who hasn't played since 2021
Ristolainen: At the point where you're moving DeAngelo, the Flyers literally wouldn't have any NHL RHD at all. They still need someone to play with York and you can always move Risto later down the line</div></div>
The point of those names was to say that the Flyers are going to be moving everyone! Those are players they would want and need to keep if building a winner, but trust me, coming from Edmonton, I know when the fire sale is around the corner, we had 11 years of that, and let me tell you, it's not just around the corner in Philly, but it's knocking at the door.

Hawks Rebuild Summer 2
I think you have a point in making moves with teams that would most realistically make a deal, the one I just think is maybe optimistic is the Buffalo deal, Buffalo doesn't want to trade for assets, they have cap and so they would like to go out and get a guy this summer, like Graves, so they will avoid trading if possible.
I think the one team you forgot to highlight that the hawks could get the largest "fee" for their services from is the Oilers! The oilers have 2 things they would love to do this summer, 1 being move on from Jack Campbell, but I have a high suspicion that won't happen, and 2nd, but probably the most realistic for the hawks, is brokering an Erik Karlsson trade. I could see the Hawks getting a 1st as payment in such a deal. But we will see!

More comparable here: Ryan O'Rielly for the Leafs. He is working out far better in my honest opinion.

Ending rebuild sooner
I think your right close to the move for the Jets. I think someone said in a comment above that one more prospect might do it, and I agree, I think they would look at one more prospect and the deal is as good as done and both teams would be very happy. The one thing I would make sure of though as a GM would be to see if the Jets can do a sign-and-trade for Montréal as it would be quite the risk of trading futures in a non-playoff (currently) franchise for him to walk.
As for Joel Edmunson, if a second round pick is the value, I will be jumping for joy because that means Ceci on the oilers is worth a 1st and a 3rd. So I hope for the Oilers sake your right, but tbh I think a second is fair value. The one defenceman that I think could use a rehabilitation stint and maybe sign a 4-5 year deal that would make sense for the habs is Klingberg, maybe something to think about if a team said no to a second, but maybe a 3rd and a signed klingberg?

I think Dubas won't he has Acciari now. But If I had to choose, I think I go with some grit and speed, Kulikov rings the bells for me. He did well when EDM acquired him at the Deadline in 2020. Also depth guy and won't cost much for Toronto to acquire WITH retention. Something like a 5th.
