<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>I don't think Lucic should be an everyday player any more. He should be inserted when needed to keep him strong & healthy = load management. His ice time should be shared with Pelletier & Rooney. Only need one of either Rooney or Lewis in the line-up for the PK, so Rooney-Ruzicka-Lewis/Virtanen or Lucic/Pelletier-Rooney-Ruzicka/Lewis/Virtanen. If Virtanen doesn't perform, any of Phillips, Schwindt, Delleandrea, Klapka, Duehr or Prospisil can be given a shot at 4RW
I've been making more/bigger changes recently, but was reminded that in the real world, they don't move players that were recently signed and we don't want to Break Up the Band & Team Chemistry too much, therefore Hanifin stays with Andersson and Kylington stays with Tanev, who's minutes get sheltered more now that Weegar was brought in. Both Kylington & Zadorov need strong Defense Partners, but if ever Weegar & Tanev need to be paired together for the reason you state, that's an option as well, would just be in special circumstances/situations
Yes, Dube deserves a shot in the Top-6. He's super offensively talented, has a great shot, plays well with Mang and it's time to see what he can do with a Play Making Centre. Virtanen adds more Size, Strength and Scoring to the 3rd Checking/Shut Down line and if not, Lewis or Pelletier can move up mid-game instead. Pelletier is both Physical & Defensive as well as Offensive, Very Good 2-Way Player, just a bit on the Small side</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>Thoughts on my Special Teams? Imagine a Cycle and Shift to the left on the PP, moving Toffoli & Hanifin Down to LW with Andersson & Weegar moving over to LD to either Bomb a Slap Shot from the Point or Slide Down for a One-Time and Huberdeau, Kadri &/or Virtanen behind the net saucer passing to either side for Toffoli, Mangiapane, Dube or Hanifin to net the setup. I put Zadorov on PK#2 to shelter Hanifin's minutes as well. I wonder if taking Lindholm off the PK might be a good idea too though</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>Possibly, all the more reason to invite him to camp on a PTO to find out</div></div>
I agree with all of this but isn't Backs Lindy Kadri Dube Coleman maybe huberdeau all pk players so lewis would be a scratch fill in player, but heres a proposal what about this for Lucic to manage his minutes a kinda 5 line system to help manage minutes this idea sounds crazy but could work really well Sutter says you have to be able to play your spot to make the team so why not make a offense 4th line with rookies and Lucic because Lucic has played that role before a scoring line so say this line is lucic pelletier ruzicka they play a first line offense style game except they are agianst other teams fourth lines and getting played fourth line minutes so they can basically be a offense line and create a role for these young guys where they can axcel and earn pp time and get good numbers, and then have them basically play half the games as a fourth line then have another fourth line the is mostly scracthed when 1st fourth line is player or filling in other roles in middle six and vise versa, the 2nd fourth line would be a grinder line ruzicka lewis rooney even maybe lucic and you have that line together when your playing a rough team to fight fire with fire, is this a terrible idea? and sorry it was long and tell me if i missed anything? or if this even made sense?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingofRnR</b></div><div>Yeah Wheeler's contract being 2 years isn't ideal, especially if ppl feel Coronato will be ready, but it is possible. Would just need to move Toffoli, Hanifin and Zadorov out in the off-season to clear space for him. Wheeler doesn't exactly sound like the Greatest Team Player though and he's older, so you gotta wonder when his play will start to drop off and whether that'll be a steady decline or a falling off the cliff type drop in production</div></div>
Yeah for sure trading for him just wouldn't really be worth it, your spot on

I do not see scracthing Lucic, he is the guy and I belive he has a shot at captain, and rooney has to be fourth line centre or else we signed him just to waste 1.3 in cap space, also why waste Tanev with Kyli where has to coach the guy on the ice when you could play him with weager and be able to somewhat shut down Mcdavid, also weager is a LD no, I love your mindset tho, the real question is do you want to put dube on the scoring second line or try and mold him into the next Backlund on the shutdown third line?

yeah, a 1st your banking on it being 32nd pick if your trading it. I hope we hold off at the deadline get 9mil in cap space and go from there see what we need

If the flames don't make a move from now until the deadline our 2.4 million in cap space will turn into about 9 million enough to afford Blake Wheeer, To start with the Flames if they are in a good spot and everything looks to be going good a power forward like Blake Wheeler for the second line would be deadly, he is the ultimate sutter player the only downfall is his 2 year contract so that is why the flames send out kylington to try and make some space so we could maybe still sign weager this offseason and also if we are making this trade its to try and put us over the edge so thats why we are giving up the first and 3rd also if Wheeler is a good attitude in the locker room and ages well he could help us next year even if his attitudes bad he could be our Evander Kane, On the Winnipeg side this would make sense if they were out of a playoff spot and wanted to change stuff up, they get rid of wheeler and his contract which would also change the dynamic in the dressing room (kinda like avs and Duchene) in return for Wheeler they get a first round pick to move along their retool and Oilver Kylington a young defenseman who could help out their lacking D core and they get him on a two year contract so they could reflip him next year if they wanted to. Flames also bring back Dave in case of goalie injuries and he's a great lockey room guy, and this trade only works out if Wheeler waives his clause. tell me if I missed anything and give me your thoughts.

Flames wouldn't want anyone to "take on Lucic" he is overpaid obviously but you won't find a tougher cookie in the whole league and he still put up 10 goals last year.

Lucic is untouchable no way Flames would do something so stupid thats not asset managment, and Andersson is overpaid for too long term to suit flames, evans wouldnt even make our team

A boy that would be exciting, we'd take meier over Kane, because Meier is a great Sutter player, but then and again it would be nice to get Kane and screw Edmonton
