Why would they? If they hold him Seattle will just take him for free. Unless you think that Samsonov will be left exposed? I dont see what your seeing.

YES SPAR is an awesome stat! Very under appreciated by most, or just not known. Also Jared Mccann is a beast!

Very big gamble! I dont feel bad about Brodie on the top pair and maybe sign Brandon Moutour as a #4 as your backup plan.

My Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>So LA trades for Dermott only to immediately lose him to Seattle? That makes sense....
I'd trade Matt Luff for Dermott so that the Kings can dangle Dermott to Seattle with the hope that they don't lose anyone else.
Aside from that, no thanks.</div></div>
When did I ever say this trade would happen today. OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't, it would happen after the expansion draft. That's just such a low level of thinking from your end. That thing on your shoulders is more then just a hat rack, use it once in awhile.

My Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Dermott is not really an improvement over Bjornfot and Andersson, the reason they are looking for a LD is because those two players are rookies and might be overplayed at this level in their development. Dermott just adds to a glut of bottom-4 LD with: Maata, MacDermid, Bjornfot, and Andersson. Furthermore, the Kings are trying to prioritize scoring, not sure losing Kempe for something they already have in abundance makes sense.</div></div>
Its obvious you haven't seen Dermott play much. He instantly becomes the best LD on your team at this moment in time, Maatta is awful, Bjonfot WILL be the best right now he needs lots of growing, MacDermid is bad and Anderson is not good either. Today Dermott is better then all of your LD options.

For all the Leafs fans in the back. Kings. DO NOT. Want. Dermott.</div></div>
You are very much underrating what Dermott can provide. On a team rebuilding why not have a 24 year old with over 200 NHL games under his belt

As Per James Mirtle of The Athletic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>I'm just not very impressed with Johnsson. He's given a prime spot with Marner, Tavares, Matthews, and Marner and doesn't really do that much with it. He's the definition of a 3rd liner and I don't see him producing more with lesser talent on other teams. Kerfoot had a down year, so I knocked his value down a bit. I value him higher than Johnsson though because he can play center, but I think he's a bit one-dimensional. They're fine complimentary pieces, but I don't think they're any more than that.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Byrr</b></div><div>If the Kapanen trade showed us anything its that these 40 point wingers are worth more than people on here see them. The idea that a 40 point NHL player is only worth a draft pick with a 15% chance of playing 99+ NHL games is just dumb.</div></div>
Byrr is right, Kerfoot and Johnnson are worth more then people on this site think they are. That's not to say they are worth what the leafs got for Kapanen, I think PIT way over paid. Johnnson hasn't yet been given a real chance to play in the top 6, I don't think he could ever crack to the !st line but I think he could middle six pretty much anywhere in the league. On top of that he has term at a fair value. That in itself is worth something.
Kerfoot I don't see ever being good enough to be a 2nd Line centre. I do see him being one of the best 3rd line centers, he's a smart player 2 way player and still has room to grow. Also, Cost controlled at fair value.

I think value for Andersen and Engvall is correct but undervaluing Johnsson and Kerfoot. Both are young, skilled and cost controlled.

I had Dermott in as a sign and trade, but I agree otherwise. What about formenton?

& "Sens left side is weak" ... lmao.. Chabot, Brannstrom, Boro Cop, Lajoie.. they need more righties, not lefties. They also aren't likely to give up Batherson. He's one of their top prospects</div></div>
Garland is an RFA with 1 year left saying he's on one of the best valued deals in the league is like comparing him to Mackinnion, you're reaching on that one. Also he expires after next season and Kapenan & Johnsson are signed to multi year deals along with having strong kill sets.
Now this this where your comment becomes embarrassing. Chabot is OTT's #1 D, obviously. Brannstrom is a rigthy, ?????. Boro is a ufa who knows if he's coming back. Lajoie isn't as good as Dermott may never be either. OTT's left side is hurting on pairs 2 and 3. Batherson is a reach, that's why I said add picks to make it work or alternatively go for Formenton.
