Orr would've been better than Lidstrom in any era. Man won the Art Ross and nearly got to 1000 points in a shortened career.

My attempt at a Patrick Kane trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ReginaSask</b></div><div>If you have a player that would be considered highly rated it’s Drury. None of your prospects are highly rated prospects. A highly rated prospect would be someone like Shane Wright or Jake Sanderson. Those are highly rated prospects and not the kind that are usually traded. Now if you were to offer up a first and Drury to Chicago plus dumping Gardiner then that’s an easy yes for the Blackhawks.</div></div>
Once again that’s a very limited view and there’s only a handful of prospects at that level. There’s much more interest beyond guys like that. Morrow is on the same level as Drury as an FYI - much higher ceiling but still needs some more development and will likely get added tk team after his college season is up.
Anyways, don’t think we’ll see eye to eye at this point. Have a good one.

Team Canada Whenever The Next Canada Cup Is
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ReginaSask</b></div><div>If Kane continues to play like he has with McDavid you take him and tell the media to pound sand. I’d much rather have our best player playing with his favourite line mate. I have no idea when we will see the next tournament, I’m guessing maybe 2024?</div></div>
I guess it also just depends on whether we think Kane is one of the 12/13 best forwards, especially a 33 year old Kane if we're going for a Fall 2024 tournament. He's produced pretty well with McDavid during their short time together, but I would also believe that there are a lot of Canadian players who would produce on the left side with McDavid and Marner.
A lot can change in two full NHL seasons, and if Kane puts up consecutive 40 goal seasons on McDavid's wing and stays out of trouble I think there's a chance. But banking on sustained excellent play from a player who has literally never had sustained excellent play and on the downside of their career when there are many other, equally good Canadian forwards might be a small reach.

Leafs
I can't see a team which will be exceeding expectations if they finish 6th in the Pacific Division paying a second-round draft pick for one year of Alex Kerfoot. Moreover, the Ducks will want to give LW playing time to the recently-signed Frank Vatrano and developing youngsters Max Comtois and Mason McTavish, so there isn't really a lot of room for Kerfoot on the Anaheim roster.

Aside from the hilarious value you think Farabee has, TOR can't take on his 5M without sending cap the other way.

Allen will be selected in the top 10 for sure. There's not a lot of defenseman available that high.

Yes, I think this will be another Wright situation. Michkov will drop outside the top 5, maybe top 10 if teams want to address by need.

Clearing Cap
With Mikey Anderson and Sean Durzi to re-sign (giving us 7 defensemen) and 15 forwards under contract already (including the just-re-signed Gabe Vilardi), any trades from this point on will have to be at least cap-neutral for Los Angeles, and this one is neither.

I don't think they should use penalty kill as a factor for the Selke. Teams don't always want to use their best players to kill penalities.

Selke Trophy.
I used to believe that Brayden Point was going to become the next Patrice Bergeron perennial selke type centre. I no longer think this because he doesn't kill penalties.
Barkov has become that kinda all situation guy. Couturier is up there too. Stone is up there as well.
Am I missing anyone who should be in the selke conversation this season?
