Pretty fair value tbh. I’d try to sign him first if possible though.

What is Timmins status
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>If that's what's going on the NHLPA would likely kick up a fuss. Timmins being forced not to play despite being able to do so would limit his earning capacity so why would he agree to that? If he misses too many games nobody will pay him well when his contract expires next off-season.</div></div>
True my thing is just that the cap situation here is weird
They actually can’t afford him and run 20 skaters, then there’s the risk of losing him on waivers which is high cause he actually played games last season. Third he probably is injured. I’m guessing Minton getting sent down will align with Timmons coming off ltir then they run 11 and 7 till a subsequent move is made

I’d give it a shot even if it is a bit gimmicky if he could face off I would be totally sold, but give it 10 games.

Liam Foudy is on waivers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>Nothing wrong with adding another one. He matches the Avs identity with his excellent skating so it's possible that he could carve out a role as a 4th liner with the Avs in the Cogliano or O'Connor mould.
It's also not as if the likes of Ben Meyers, Kiviranta, et al are adding much either, so adding another depth guy who actually fits the style well wouldn't hurt.</div></div>
I’m just being a **** lol. I’m always down for an upside waiver claim.
That said, both Foudys play a really similar style with similar limitations. I feel like a claim for Liam wouldn’t bode well for JL.

I actually like the thought of getting Bear; it would be great to get Bo away from his off-side and his underlyings are pretty decent.

Brannstrom
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>It's a workable solution that leaves ~$350k of capspace with a 20 man roster, assuming Pinto takes $2.5m.
If Pinto is flexible and takes slightly less, like $2.1m, you could probably squeeze a 21 man roster too.
Obviously a 20-21 man roster isn't ideal, but that's the unfortunate reality for Ottawa.
https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/4650384</div></div>
When you look at the other up and coming teams in the east , NJ 23 man roster 1.75 cap space ; Detroit 23 man roster 4.47 cap space ; Buffalo 23 man 8.826 cap they have done a much better job IMO. Don’t get me wrong I like Ottawa’s team but they have no wiggle room to bring players up. It can’t send a good message to the guys in Belleville.

Brannstrom
Does not really solve the Pinto situation unless Pinto lowers his asking price which has been at 2.5. If MacEwen clears that will allow for a D man from Bellville to move up to fill the slot vacated by Brannstrom. I would say the majority of Sens fans want Brannstrom to stick around for this season.
20-21 man rosters are risky , it’s going to bite them in the ass in the second half of the season once players start wearing down.

Manson for Benning
Sharks have more than enough defensemen as is on the farm system, many of whom will need opportunities at the NHL level soon. Manson would block their opportunities, so this trade doesn't make sense from a personnel and development perspective.
This is actually a reasonable offer for Benning but for the reasons mentioned above, Sharks would probably decline.

Next year cup contendies
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>M96N29</b></div><div>In theory, I can see why COL considers this, but it only interests them if Ryjo has a bad season, at which point BUF definitely doesn't do the trade.</div></div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Yeah I can see that as an 'IF', don't get me wrong. The question is how much of that cap space gets used up on signing the trio they've acquired when the Avs would likely want to move these two guys (next year and the following year, or simply not re-signing RyJo) to make cap space for signing MR, BB, AG & LOC. Also would be a little odd for Buffalo to consider this (and even more odd if RyJo has a bad season). Even if they've made it to the play offs this season if we're talking hypothetically, does that move push them into contenders?</div></div>
Why would COL not want young cost-controlled guys for long-term, even if RyJo has a mediocre-good season? Even if Avs win the cup this year, doesn't change that this clears 8.5 shmilli. They could re-sign all 3 for the same cost as Manson. Buff would be interested because 1) Manson won a Stanley cup with E. Johnson so they can provide vet leadership during a run, 2) If RyJo has a bad season it'll be because he isn't meant for the top 6 anymore and is having poor matchups - he would bring vet stability on the 4th pair in Buff and he wins face-offs - which nobody else on Buff can. Would help tremendously to gain possession and preserve the lead late in a game - Buff is notorious for giving up leads.

Manson for Borgen
Not sure I'd bring Behrens straight into the big league unless he really shows he's got it in camp/pre-season. Maybe worth seeing if they could snap up someone like Seeler in FA on a cheap deal to keep a little bit of nasty in the D corps as that's pretty soft looking.

If Landeskog is done
I mean yeah, not thrilled about the process of giving another winger a longer term deal especially knowing Makar, Rantanen and a 2C would have to be re-signed during that time and a decision would have to be made on Lehkonen. God wouldn’t it be wonderful if a young guy like Olausson started playing like a 1st rounder?

Manson Deal
Main reason for the Avs to move Manson (assuming they wanted to and assuming he didn't have TOR on his list of no's) would be for cap space. Adding Jarnkrok's & Timmins's hits plus retaining isn't something they'd likely be doing. They're actually adding cap here.

Doesnt really make sense for the Avs imo. They are already stacked on the wing, especially with Landeskog and Kovalenko joining the team by the end of the year so Garland doesnt really fit and theres bad blood between him and MacKinnon anyway
