Big contract move and using our cap room
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Kesler, just like Perry, has a NMC. Why would he waive to leave SoCal for Montreal? No to mention, buying him out would cost less than taking Alzner, then you add in Marleau (who also has a NMC of his own).</div></div>
First Marleau has only 1 year so after the first year, without the buying out anyone, alzner contract is cheaper then Kesler. Marleau would only accepte the first trade to mtl because the Gm would garrenty he would be moved again out west if possible. Kesler would accepte because I do believe he will think he will have a better chance to win with mtl then Ana.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jay27</b></div><div>Marleau has a full nmc and went to TOR to win. If the Leafs clear cap it won't be by moving Marleau.</div></div>
Toronto wont give him a choice. They knew all along the third year would be to much but they wanted him for the first 2 year. So it will either be buy out or trade and if mtl can promise him he will be moved out west after the trade, I think he would accept.

Duchene trade to nashville
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>Fiala, is my guess, struggling and hes really not that good so hes perfect trade for target. Plus you arent getting Preds top prospect a 1st 2nd and a roster player for Duchene. Roll back the values on the prospect and player with only 1 draft pick...then you are in rental territory</div></div>
The reason Turris is in the trade is that Nashville would be able to resign Dushene afterwards. Thats why the price is so high cause it would not juste be a rental.

Okay so what if the conditional pick is only if he signs a new contract and he scores more then 30 goals if not we add an other second round pick in 2019 or 2020. Because if pacioretty goes back to being a 30 goal scorer again, I don't see why this would be a horrible trade for Buf!

Habs major trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Ultimate_Pielord</b></div><div>Like the desire to acquire O'Reilly and the faith in Lehkonen. I do have some issues with this team though.
1. The good points about Lehkonen indicate he has a large amount of ACTUAL value, however his poor boxcar numbers will suppress his PERCEIVED value. Pierre Dorion, who believed the Sens were contenders after they lucked their way to a conference final, will be operating off of the latter. Hence, trading Lehkonen to OTT will not be a good call.
2. Riddler and Seinfeld are right that that's a nasty trade for BUF. O'Reilly's really good. That said, the Karlsson deal's an overpay given that he's a pending UFA. Add MTL's 2018 first and Byron to the Sabres trade and keep Lehkonen to fill the hole Byron leaves.
3. Get Bobby Ryan out of the top-six. He's a 4th liner who is monstrously overpaid.
4. Plekanec probably costs $3 million, but he's a solid middle-six centre.
5. Dmen's effectiveness is significantly reduced when playing their off sides (For RHDs like Karlsson, the off side is LD) in most cases. Read: Trade for Klefbom instead.</div></div>
Thx for sharing you opinion on this post!! But I believe adding the third overall pick and byron plus pacioretty is a major over pay for O'reilly. Also ottawa would never accept the the trade with out lekhnonen, they will get many other better offers. Also I do believe Ryan COULD bounce back with a new team and become at least a 20 + goal scorer. So I would give him a chance on the second line before finishing him up on the fourth line.

True but look at what my 2018-19 habs look like. Even if shaw and byron are injured, you juste move lekhonen up.

The AZ trade is good for them because McCarron played with Domi in juniors and also they have a hard time signing and keeping free agents so having alzner for 5 years is better then Hjal then nobody after a year. Also I forgot one part to my team, I would sign maxime Lapierre (yeah really) as the fourth line center. He would bring emotion and energy to the team, witch we lack of a lot

Well im pretty sure since they have Börgstrom as a new third line center they dont really nees Bjustad anymore and im pretty sure they would prefer the cheaper option in the center since they have Barkov and trocheck. If they do this trade, they will problebly be able to sign kovalchuk also who is a right handed winger.

Drouin, Tavares, Scherbak
Lehkonen, Bjugstad, Gallagher
Galchenyuk, Daneault, Tippett
Deslauriers, De la Rose, Hudon
Rychel, Carr.</div></div>
Bergevin loves shaw to much to trade him and he is one of our very few right side shooters. About Scherbak, I do see a huge offensive potential also but I don't think next year he would be ready for a first line role!

Mtl-Arizona trade if Arizona draft Dahlin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BluesBandit</b></div><div>I don't see why Arizona would do this. Maybe one of OEL or Hjalmarsson but not both. I think OEL's value is equal to Pacioretty's as well. Hjal>Alzner and Domi>Lehkonen. Benn and a 2nd doesn't make up the difference.</div></div>
Hjal had a bad season and only has 1 year left on his contract and he will most likely not resign there. Alzner on the other hand still has 5 years left on his contract and with the fact that Arizona has a hard time signing free agents, they would rather have 5 years of a defensive defence then 1 year only. Lehkonen had a 18 goals rookie season but had a bad second season but he is still a very high quality prospect. Add Benn and a second for a young guy that only had 1 good season also is a pretty good deal.

Habs trades to become top team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>Montreal is getting fleeced in that deal with Edmonton. Trading 3 proven players, one of which is a perennial 30 girl scorer for an over paid old generation winger, a center man who can’t take on the #1 spot, and a right winger who still hasn’t proven he can become successful in the league. Even with the draft picks your getting a whole lot of nothing to go no where with that trade</div></div>
The fact is that we have way to many wingers on the team and we need centers and honestly, RNH is problebly the best center that could be available. He is a good number 2 center and has 2 more years of contract then pacioretty! Strome is only in the deal to ship him off the Arizona since im guessing they would like to have him to help his brother out get used to the nhl. Therefore we get more second round pick! Also Lucic is only to retain 1 million salary then he is back to EDM.

I think those three guys might be worth more than that, possibly even without the second. Also, I am confused by the Lucic and OEL deals. Why trade Lucic back for nothing? Was that an edit of some sort? Also, its not definite that Montreal will get Dahlin. I do like the way that you acquired so many good draft picks, I am just not quite sure if all of these deals are quite realistic. They are very close for the most part, but I don't know.</div></div>
The Lucic trade is to add to what mtl gives in this trade. They acquire Lucic but only to keep 1 million then they send him back. For OEL its the same thing but now it's vegas that keeps the 1 million extra. Would better to not have to do both but I think it might be necessary for the oilers to accepte the trade.

If I do so, 2018 draft pick wont be available for trades. But all the numbers fit! Tavares would sign because the idea of playing with Weber, Price and now Dahlin, plus OEL and RNH, he would definitively take a 11M/ Year contract to be part of this team.

I don't think TB would be open to trading their top 2 Defensive prospect knowing that they wont be able to resign Karlsson after his contract expires.
