NHL Draft Trading Up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>Then the question becomes how can we get a player like that? Levshunov would fit that description but he is going in the top 5 likely. Yakemchuk is another D who comes to mind and would be more likely available for them, but does he have the potential to be a 1RD?</div></div>
Well that’s what I’m saying tho. If we are trading up for anything I’m trading into the top 5 and taking a top Center or top RHD.

I still dont understand this team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>That addresses both your needs?</div></div>
at the expense of our biggest weakness, flyers need centers, and won't be trading them unless it is for a significant upgrade or to get out from the couturier contract. especially a center like frost, he is the only player on the team who can create anything from nothing. poehling just signed an extension, he's not getting moved
goaltending (shockingly) isn't a need. ersson has simply been burnt through the ground. when he gets 40+ hours rest, he has a .910, anything else he's a .885 (stats were from a few days ago so have changed, but reasoning still holds true). with a legit backup/1B (which fedotov/kolosov will be), this won't be an issue
graves is alright, but again, not a significant need given that LHD for next year are york, sanheim, seeler, zamula, andrae, and ginning. next to no need to add a middle pair dman who's signed for 5 more years given that they won't need him in 2 years time

Unlikely allies
That Flyers trade makes ZERO sense for a rebuilding team. Young two-way player and a first for a soon to be 29 year old Jarry and a 4th? Flyers have a ton of legit goalie prospects and Ersson/Fetotov currently on the roster,

Meh. Flyers need to blow it up officially; not acquire players and block prospects.
Rather draft Kiviharju.

Not getting Lindholm at 6.75 (nor will he come to Flyers for anything under 10M)
That is a F-ing loaddddddd for Tkachuk. Take out the 1sts. sheeeeeesh.</div></div>
Doesn’t make sense for the flyers to deplete their current roster to get Tkachuk . And doesn’t make sense for the Sens to trade Tkachuk for a win now package

If we sell our best forward and best defenseman why on earth are we trading for a 28 year old goalie? If we are fully blowing it up by trading TK and York why are we trading for a top goalie lol where is the logic?

Flyers decline, only attractive piece is Karlsson, but he's playing RW which we are already overcrowded. And we're short on C already, especially one who could play with the puck.

as a Flyers fan this is true glad we at least did something this year but the roster isn't good we benefitted from playing in a weak division

Philly has 83
Isles have 83
Caps have 82
Wings have 82
Pens have 81
There’s two spots.
Toronto Boston Carolina Tampa Florida Rangers all in.
I think Philadelphia and Islanders squeeze in.

Philly is not likely moving TK. If they were to even consider, it would be a package that includes either Savoie, Kulich, or Buffalo’s 2024 first.

Flyers are still rebuilding, if the pick is a 15th, they'll keep the 15th and their young defender. The extension would be required for it to be considered.
We're also already stacked on LHD.

Rebuild in progress
I see absolutely no reason why Flyers would trade for soon 34 years old Kadri who has 5 years left for 7M cap hit.
Edit. To be more precise, I don't see any reason why any team would want that contract. Maybe in 3-4 years some then to be tanking team for next generational talent would take the last 1-2 years of this to reach cap floor.

first round redo. based on progression
This list seems very off. In what world is Stramel still in the 1st round over people like Stenberg? Then there are other people just all over the place.
Why does Michkov drop to 17?
Musty needs a bigger bump
Why does Dvorsky drop that much yet is dominating in the OHL?
Simashev shouldn't drop that much if people like ASP are shooting up.
Overall just a weird list. At least I agree with you about Bedard.

Always thinking about Philly
I think there could maybe be the baseline of something here but the specifics make it a no for Philly:
-Rosen is 100% the wrong sort of prospect to go back to Philly
-Philly can't justify moving their only 2 left wingers

Torts would probably rather keep him on the wing if he is bad defensively.</div></div>
He's not bad defensively. He sucks in the dot. That's like the only reason. It's something Carolina fans have been wanting since he was drafted. He's scoring 70 points on the wing, move him down the middle.

What type of youngish potential 1C could they get
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>What do you think Min would want for him in return.</div></div>
I'm not sure to be honest - a pick doesn't make much sense to me, but if that's what they want, I'd suspect it's something around his same draft position (9th). Maybe PIT deals 9th or 10th.
I don't personally see why they would trade him, but our beat reporters have been speculating on it lately. It wouldn't shock me if they moved him.
