I would love to see the MTL/CAR offer sheet battle resume - MTL offer sheets either Necas/Jarvis for $7.5M+ AAV and it pretty much guarantees Carolina can't keep all three guys

Rutger on Draft Night
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rooney</b></div><div>"That Jets management can't get signed"
People really don't do any research lol. We have zero roster turnover next year, McGroarty was sked if he would like to play in the AHL or go back for his Junior year, he went back which makes sense.
He'll be on the Jets roster in 25/26, there will be no issues getting him signed.</div></div>
Great, doesn't change that it's an overpayment.
I agree the Jets won't have trouble signing him but walking him this close to being a FA will always carry a risk and if the managements plan doesn't align with the players, that will cause a problem. Look at cutter and Philly, don't think that will happen here but it is the risk that Jets management is taking

The Necas return is one the Habs would happily pay, I would think that another team offers something a little bit better quality but Habs can definitely offer the most quantity

Sens should take that honestly.... Appleton is a solid bottom 6er. Perfetti can grow into a good top 6er and Rutger would be a solid top liner when he develops. Plus a pick upgrade.

This seems fair honestly I am pretty high on Perfetti and McGroarty is tearing it up in College. Granted I'd want a first/early 2nd instead of a late 2026 second but that's my only complaint

Hell of an offer. Staios has apparently kicked the tires on Brady to see his value so this off season is going to be very very interesting.

Make the 2nd a 1st and Sens definitely think about it. May have to add another pick or player though. I don’t know, I’m sure Sens fans will say “absolutely not” “that’s not enough” etc etc…it’s not that far off.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Viqsi</b></div><div>A sophomore slump does not a wide value gap make. The statement stands as written.</div></div>
One got swnt to the AHL this year the other has been almost a ppg over the second half of the season, one looks like he's becoming a dominate power forward the other looks like a top 6 winger. Both are very good players, both will have success in this league, they're not in the same tier though.

Bought out?? Y'all tryna win a cup or not? Buyouts are tough against the cap. Armia is a guy you need for playoffs. The value is fair in my mind.

Unrealistic wheel and deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>What in the world were you thinking here?!? Anaheim doesn't need a LhD with Mintyukov, LaCombe and Zellweger all developing well behind Fowler and Vaakanainen and that package gets you a middle-6 winger, not Trevor Zegras.</div></div>
While I agree in terms of Anaheim's needs and this being a bad package for them this is also this very bad for both teams. That said, your last part of the sentence is incredibly incorrect. Korchinski is a very highly valued 19 year old defender in the NHL, not easy to do, and he is worth WAY more than a middle 6 winger not to mention throwing in a 2nd rounder. I wouldn't do Korchinski straight up for Zegras and doubt the Hawks or other teams in the hawk's position would either.

Korchinski is youngest D in NHL too.

Rather keep Korchinski and use #5 overall on Catton, Demidov or Lindstrom - whoever is still on the board. Might even take Eiserman there. Leshevnov is the only RD who is top 5 worthy IMO.

Nashville would decline. A very late first and a wing prospect we don't need isn't enough to move Saros when he's still our starter. Askarov may look promising and should probably look to get starts in 2024-25, but Saros is still the starter and the team is trying to be competitive. It would have to be a better prospect or a higher pick to entice Nashville to move Saros.
