I’d consider Holtz and Vanacek retained for Ullmark, but I think I’d rather have a first and Schmid instead of Holtz and Vanacek.</div></div>
Why would they need a goalie prospect when they have a young goalie who’s amazing? Benefits Boston more to add to the rest of the roster.

That’s true but at his age and what he’s reportedly asking I think he’s going to have to meet in the middle between either pay or term because I don’t see a guy of his age getting both. I think teams will be more weary after the Campbell and huberdeau contracts these last few seasnons and will be more careful giving out large contracts.

Could also look to trade myers instead of Cole

He is playing amazing in the bottom six don’t get me wrong but a top 6 who can play centre for 2 years at that cheap of a cap hit just fills a bigger hole in this roster imo

Zegras is an upgrade on Kane and Gudas is an upgrade on Ceci.

Currently 4th in metro and 7th in the conference per https://www.espn.com/nhl/standings/_/group/conference which would make them a wildcard team.

I think he’s capable of being a 3-4 Dman on a lineup rn get him a top 4 partner and I think he would slot in nice

They are currently in a playoff spot and they have a lot of players doing extremely well rn with the second trade I explained that I believe these moves could make them a contender. I also said value may be way off and I’m not sure if these are the right targets, please read before looking like an ass.

Would rather keep kulak over Hanifin I know he’s better but just term and cap hit with where he’d be in the lineup it’s better to keep him other then that if the flames sold everything to their rivals they’d be pretty stacked.

Smart because Seattle has the space to resign but I’d honestly look at larsson and draccord or maybe even all three with Nylander? Anyway Seattle would be a good trade partner imo.

Contenders
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NucksnOilers</b></div><div>Why would NJ be selling?
Seattle isn't giving up two guys with term since they have lots of expiring deals</div></div>
If New Jersey doesn’t look like they’ll be making the plods with how stacked their division is and the slow start then they will definitely look to gain some assets back on toffoli and with McLeod expiring I don’t see why they couldn’t atleast make a pitch for him too. Giving up term for expiring deals doesn’t really mean much, Seattle is going to have lots of cap space and flexibility this offseason to resign whoever they want.

Because cap space, picks, and prospects is a terrible thing to have for a team that isn’t contending this year and are still looking to develop

Although the value may be fair the oilers aren't in a position to trade a guy like nuge considering the impact he has in edmonton, he's a key part of our core as we need a guy like him for pp, pk, and team friendly top 6. It would help oil with future cap issues but take a hit at their chances at a cup this year and Leon and McDavid said all playoffs and off-season its cup or bust.

I don’t think you’d have much interest from New Jersey with a first and a great young guy for them, I know Mercer hasent started off the season hot but just last year at 21 went 27-29-56 in points and idk if hanafin would get all that from them. But hypothetically if it were to go threw putting Mercer on the 4th line would be a terrible decision.
