If playoffs are what matters right now, then I would rather have Cole than Fabbro.

If we are trading a 1st and Hoglander, I would rather do so for a younger player than Giroux who comes with a bit more term.

He is playing amazing in the bottom six don’t get me wrong but a top 6 who can play centre for 2 years at that cheap of a cap hit just fills a bigger hole in this roster imo

Why would you rather Cole then Fabbro?

Could also look to trade myers instead of Cole

So the Canucks give up the better defenseman, a decent prospect, and a 2nd round pick for a worse defender who wouldn't make our Top-6 right now? Why do they do this?

Canucks are getting absolutely fleeced in both of these.

If Giroux waives his NMC, it'll be a tiny list. Might impact trade value. Not a crazy amount but I'd say Hogs needs to be removed and I believe that still be in the running.

But I would LOVE Giroux lol

The thing with any Canucks trade is I don't think you wanna mess with a good thing. If you can bring in a guy by trading say Kuzmenko fair enough, but honestly beyond that I don't know that I'd be moving many roster players given how well everything is going currently. I just think you bring in a rental and they're not up to speed on what this team is about and aren't gonna play hard unless its the right fit.
