HABS fans can wait like good little boys and girls for next summer to get him for free. Hoping he doesn't get traded to a team that convinces him to stay.</div></div>

Question is now, how much does money play? MTL just made it clear they want to cap their salaries under Captain Suzuki's mark, and that's fair (and I see you did the same with an extension on PLD in this very mock up) . But if Dubois is traded somewhere else---somewhere almost nearly as awesome as MTL, say NYR, for example---and NY finds a way to offer 8.5-9 over 8 years . . . well that sure leaves Dubois with quite a decision to make if his hometown team only offers 7.85 x 7. Seems pretty assumptuous on MTL's part . . . to think that he'll walk away from a higher salary and an extra year simply cuz he wants to come home that much.

I'd like to know, if it comes to market prices for PLD being higher than the Suzuki benchmark, do MTL fans want their french guy SO much as to make him their highest -paid player? And do they ensure they trade for him to get that 8th year???
