It is the contract. Everyone would want Marner but the Jets would either have to let him walk, or have to trade him a year later because he won't resign. He is a great player but Jets are looking for long term fits. Guys they can get signed long term. If Marner is willing to sign then maybe it works but they can't talk about an extension until after next year. Jets don't take that risk, and don't trade trade Ehlers.

Logan Stanley is terrible, not worth trading for I rather have Mete than Stanley at least one has something other to him then height

Stanley is worthless. I would just give him away for anything. Take him for free. He is terrible.

The WPG / TOR trade is okay. I like Marner for WPG over Helly, Ehlers, etc... You can build a franchise around Marner because he can do everything except fight. haha

It's that contract - SO MUCH, and that he will most likely not stay after it's over.

Tough one here. TOR has to throw in that 1st round pick from BOS. Then it's a deal.
