If you followed the Sabres you would know he was used incorrectly by the previous coach. He has returned to form this year.

Sabres don't want Fiala, same type of player as Skinner. I do like the other moves.

ffs go back to what worked
Agree. They looked so out of sync last night against Canes. Cooper finally put Kuch and Point together in third.

Offseason moves
I like the aggressive move and would love to see Tkachuk on the Sabres. Would have to be the equivalent of four 1st rd picks since that is what it would cost on a offer sheet Foran RFA.
I wonder in Mitts, JJP, d prospect Johnson (1st rd pick in 2019, and Vegas 1st rd pick in 2022 would be enough?

Final Prediction
Myers just cleared waivers and was sent to AHL. If Sabres wanted him they could have just picked him up and not have to trade for him.

from who?? There has to be a demand to drive up the price. Many teams can't afford him. It also has to be a team that Giroux wants to go to because of his NTC. Look at what Hall got Buffalo last year!!

trading dumba
This is WIld's one year to make a run. They will be in cap crunch for next three years with 14million tied up in buyouts of Suter and Parise. I can see Dumba being moved in the off season.

You flip Strome at the deadline former picks or prospects. Strome just fills in as stop gap for most of year to have Mitts play 2nd line.

Even if Dallas has Bishop on LTIR, they still have Holtby, Khudobin, and Oetinger. They will move Khudobin and have to pay for someone total on his cap hit!!

guarantees you get them at a price you want and maybe not as high as open market. Also you don't need to select 30 players and then add more to free agency. You only need to fill 23 spots.

As much as I like Cirelli, Tampa is going to need money for Point next year. Trade Cirelli while his value is high and get some good young players at cost controlled contracts and a few picks to help with the future.

It would be a very late 1st and Jenner who is an UFA after this year. Risto could sign long term and be replacement for Jones on RD.

He’s a potential captain for this team in Eichel’s absence. Not only do you keep him you sign him to a long-term deal the moment the deal is done.</div></div>
I like Tkachuk as a player, it's his contract I don't like. His AAV is $7mil, which I could live with, but in his last year of the contract is $9mil in real money. So his qualifying offer starts at $10mil which I don't think he is worth.

Tampa will try and rid themselves of Johnson and Palat this off season but can only take on prospects or picks in return. If Tampa wins another cup and can't move on from Gourde as well, I can see them moving Cirelli to gain more picks and prospects and just move Gourde up to second line.
