Ducks would probably prefer to keep Comtois if it's Mittelstadt coming back.

No need for Middelstadt and no reason for Anaheim to trade Comtois rn

This is the offseason. Both could use a change of scenery. Mittelstadt would fit in nicely into your middle 6 at wing or center. Same age, mittelstadt better pedigree and upside, but comtois a higher floor

Maybe you don't do it, but it's not unreasonable

Don't trade for Larsson. Spend 4m better and keep your picks.

Isn't he a decent top 4 RD who can play defensively?

Who would you recommend- we are hoping for (I believe adams is leaning this way too) a couple decent defensive rhd to pair with dahlin and power. Mayfield, oleksiak, and gudbranson were suggestions. I seriously want a center, but if we end up with a look at right d in the draft (with no centers worthy of the pick) I grudgingly see adams grabbing another high end right d at the draft.

We can draft a center with our top 7 pick. But who are you not sold on? If its Cozens then I really can't help you.

I've been amazed how highly regarded five Seattle Dman on CF. He might be top 4 on the three bad teams he has played on, but really not that special. There will be lots of team trying to get the cap this summer, and better players will be available much cheaper....both Dmen and centres.
Wait till the summer, IMO there will teams willing to "give away" players competent players just because they no longer are can fit players under their cap. And some UFAs need to find a home in with many teams not being able to take on the cap of players they want. I think patience will be rewarded with teams with cap....like Buffalo, Detroit and New Jersey.

Care to provide some examples? I went this route because Adams has talked about finding a partner for Power and a priority.

Well Larsson has NTC, so he might be "out" of the picture anyway.

UFA...cheaper veterans maybe wanting one last pay day.....Braun, Gudbranson, Lybushin., Nutivetta. Do the Sabres go big....maybe Letang, Klingberg, Manson. D'Angelo of Canes (well maybe not)

RFAs that maybe teams can't afford to resign. Bear.

Kings are one team that might an "excess" of RHD..might they trade one.

I'm good with cozens, he looks like a solid middle 6 center who i can see as part of a winner.
