Forsberg bad target. We cannot trade our first. also Forsberg doesn't have much term and won't re-sign in Buffalo.

Knight is a big Question Mark. He is a Goalie and Struggled in the world Junior.
Just because players are taken in the first round doesnt make them Top line Talent in the NHL....A player like Eichel you have to over pay for If he is traded, just watch.....it will be 2 first round picks and so much more. Buti dont think he is moving Buffalo would be stupid.</div></div>
Lundell has been a stud in the Liga. He looks like he's gonna be a 1C, really good 2C at worst. Knight has been elite in the NCAA and for USA at juniors. I don't think you know what you're talking about.
Lundell has 25 points in 24 games in the Liga and all the scouts are saying he's been fantastic.
Knight has a 1.98 GAA at BC and .937 save % and was 5-1 at juniors with a 1.63 GAA and a .940 save%

I hate to get into row with fellow Sabre fans.
If the Sabres are shopping Jack, this is a good offer and one I really do not think another team would be able to top.
See my assessment above.
Hanifin and Välimäki fill the huge hole at LHD
Monahan will <strong>NEVER </strong> fit into Jacks skates, but would be the Sabres top center.
Zary, and Pelletier would be the Sabres best prospects after Quinn.
Final comment, Jack has played hurt and is currently out.
Replacing an ailing Eichel with healthy Hanifin, Monahan and Välimäki may lead to a better over all team with picks and prospects coming down the pipeline.

I mean you still get Gibby out of it, but I'm not really down for it anyway, and I feel like both teams decline.
Buffalo-wise, it's like you said, if Zegras doesn't turn out, you're essentially the Ducks of the East.
Anaheim-wise, I think you dig a big hole to fill another hole (I mean, who's going to stop the puck, amirite? Dostal *hopefully* develops into a solid starter, but that's probably a couple of years away), and it's just as likely that he gets as upset at the lack of success (Though SoCal is nice this time of year...)
I mean, I'm all for getting Eichel, but at the end of the day, I don't think it makes a ton of sense.

I don't know, that seems like an awful lot. Two franchise-level young players who are in their sophomore seasons, as well as a young middle six center with top six potential, plus two first round picks (the first of which will likely be in the top 10) is a lot to give up. I absolutely think Eichel is worth a ton but this may be a bit too much.

Here is the deal.
Okposo, when he is used on the fourth line, at $6,000,000 is over paid by $4,500,000 or even as much as $5,250,000 (presuming Lazar could do as well as he).
Personally, I think he still has the skills to be top six forward or at least a mid six.
At least Housley gave him some playing time with better forwards and he put up 14 goals (fifth best among the Sabres) and 29 pts.
Brilliant Krueger had him with Larsson and Girgensons 65% of the time and surprise surprise he only got 9 goals (BTW only Jack, Sam and Victor had more pt/min than Kyle last year).
Add Okposo to the list of Sabres who had career worse years under Krueger (Skinner, Vesey, Sheary, Rodrigues, Montour, Miller, Hutton et. al.).
Was Krueger hired to get a lower draft pick this year?
IDK what happened to Jones while just 5 years ago he was traded for a first and led the sharks to the finals.
If he is the third GK on the Sabres he is over paid by $5,750,000 for the next four years.
I read all of the comments and thought about this trade before responding as I thought it may be a good deal.
<strong>This is a VERY bad trade for Buffalo.</strong>
Give Okposo some better playing time with better line mates and he will only be over paid by $2,000,000 or less.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SabresSuck9</b></div><div>thats what I figured, I just cant think of any team trading for Okposo's contract without the sabres sending a first.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lsendel3</b></div><div>Yeah the added year makes it worse. And at least KO looks like he belongs in the league (still a fourth liner, great defensively last year, just insanely overpaid). Jones looks shot.</div></div>
I’d argue if you’re being paid 6 mill for a low end fourth liner (I don’t see him as a high end one), then you don’t “belong” in the league more than Jones. Jones barely puts up league required numbers and Okposo barely is worth having on your team especially for his cap like Jones. That’s why I added more assets on the sharks end as Jones can play and it’s not like he’s a huge step down from the Sabres situation. Buffalo is just waiting for their prospects on the goalie end to step in (time only will tell).

There's no enticement there to trade down 2 spots and give up our 2nd best forward prospect... Only way I'd see us moving down to Winnipeg's 10th is if you guys take on cap from us and return us a top 6 winger and a prospect
