BUF probably declines, but it ain't the worst offer.

Add Kravtsov to the trade? Trading for Eichel will always be a fanciful idea but... 🤔

Would be fair value wise but Buffalo wouldn't have enough talent down the middle. They should have drafted Rossi over Quinn.

I am not really a fan of quantity for quality trades, so I dunno what adding Kravtsov here would bring to the exchange it doesn't already have.

Thinking logically, Kakko is the main piece, Chytil is a promising C prospect BUF would certainly need if moving Eichel, and naturally the first is obviously there.

But thinking that BUF has relatively deep RHD pool as it is (Risto, Jokiharju, Miller, Montour, Borgen etc.), I don't think Deangelo and Schneider add much to the exchange from their point of view.

If NYR were to replace Deangelo+Schneider+2nd with a bit higher level quality asset, I think BUF would probably take it. But I don't know if NYR has this kind of asset right now they'd be willing to include...

It might mean this would have to be a 3-way trade to make it work.

I threw in DeAngelo to give the Rangers some cap flexibility, but I see your point about Schneider. The 3-way trade angle is interesting... do you have a third team in mind?

Honestly no. I kinda dislike Deangelo both on and off ice so I'm probably the wrong guy to ask about his value and what he could realistically bring to NYR.

But thinking teams that need a RHD...well PHI, WPG and OTT comes to mind first.

I agree with you there lol. Can't wait for ADA to be off the Rangers roster.

I can’t see any team wanting him, he’s a big headache off the ice.

Why would he want to go to a team worse than Buffalo

That’s why he’s not going anywhere until his NMC kicks in. After the 2022 season.

Eichel starts with Zibanejad, Miller or Fox, 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and a prospect. If we give NY a top 10 center we get another top line center back

Columbus fans said the same thing about Dubois but ended up getting a winger back.

I don't know, that seems like an awful lot. Two franchise-level young players who are in their sophomore seasons, as well as a young middle six center with top six potential, plus two first round picks (the first of which will likely be in the top 10) is a lot to give up. I absolutely think Eichel is worth a ton but this may be a bit too much.

Eichel is 10 levels above Dubois...
