That’s funny.
UFAs don’t get potential top 5 picks.

The defense needs for cleaning up. Plus, you lowballed Rus, Sheahan, and Oleksiak.

I'd take Sprong anyday.</div></div>

It's not cap relief, it that he's been bad. You'll see instantly what I mean if you watch him for a couple games. Anyway, ... he had a great game today, other than the last 15 minutes.

For the right cost, they will. They've had interest in Letang before, and to my knowledge, made a serious offer in late December for him.

And yes Matta hasn't played great recently but he has been a beast before and he is like 7 years younger so yeah that isn't worth an average 30 year old D-man with one year left on his contract</div></div>
Ah yes, Domi is awful. Lol he only has 44 points on one of the worst teams in the league, what a scrub!
Maatta for Hjalmarsson improves the team. Has Maatta ever been considered a "beast." I mean, sure if you listen to AT&T Sportsnet all the time, because they don't comment anything negative, like how Maatta is one of the slowest skaters in the league, one of the softest defenseman in the league, and how he gets worked by Bobby ******* Ryan.
You are also a hypocrite. Domi is awful, but he used to be a "beast." Maatta hasn't played great, but he used to be a "beast."
What a joke.

That's the definition of a homer. Plus, Hjalmarsson is better than Maatta. Maatta has been terrible since Christmas if you pay attention to detail.

Letang = Montreal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>Petry would definitely have to be gone if Letang is coming the other way. What about:
To MTL -> Letang
To PIT -> Petry + McNiven (to replace the loss of Gustafsson) + MTLs 2018 2nd rd pick (34th overall) + MTLs 2018 2nd rd pick from TOR (55th overall)</div></div>
We aren't trading Letang to downgrade the current team. A winger would have to be coming back. 2nd/3rd line tweener would be nice. Still not enough, and I believe Florida would be willing to give up more than Montreal would.

Theodore isn't available. #1 prospects are NEVER traded anymore (Foote in McDonagh deal; Maatta/Pouliot in Kessel deal; Sprong in Brassard deal)

Teams: Florida, Montreal, Vegas(If they miss out on Karlsson) are the most realistic. I'd ask for a top 4 RHD that can skate + top 6 forward + 2nd. Might be too much, but Letang is considered a #1D around the league still.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>Definitely a fair trade in moving sheary + maatta for domi + hjlarmerson. But, I’m not sure if I’d make it. Next season we’d have a hole in our top 4 LHD, however, if we sign a college FA like Daniel Brickley to potentially play in our top 4 then I think this trade would work out niceless.
Also, I’m not a fan of moving Sheehan just to dump hunwick. I like Sheehan as a fit for our fourth line.
Overall not bad but I’d really like some insurance for our 2LD the following season. Let’s hope we land brickley!!!</div></div>
Brickley already signed. Anyway, Hjalmarsson can most likely be resigned for a similar cap hit.
