Whats Erik Johnsons value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sicarius</b></div><div>Shattenkirk + Chris Stewart :sarcasm</div></div>
Both are unknown quantities, but lemme try the math problem. Shattenkirk was overpaid and bought out as a 5M player, but will be massively underpaid this year at 1.5. His value is about 3M, which is just about the average salary of one average NHL regular. So Shattenkirk= 1 player.
Chris Stewart's been a bit inconsistent, and is probably worth about 1M this year, or one third of one average player. So.... let's see... dividing by fractions, so we.... multiply by the reciprocal, and.....
it turns out....
Erik Johnson is worth NINE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

Bruins fans help me out here
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sicarius</b></div><div>c'mon dude, I say one thing about Marchand crying (((which is funny as hell considering he mocked the Blues bench with a crying gesture earlier in the series)))) and that elevates my fandom to insufferable??
I like Boston's team aside from Marchand. I still haven't heard if Tarasenko's off-season knee surgery was due to Marchand's low bridge hit. I definitely haven't heard squat from the NHL, who supposedly reviews all plays regardless if a penalty is called, ie Blues players getting suspended by the league and the refs on ice not even handing out a penalty.
It's ok to joke about the dirtiest player in league crying after he helped cause the game 7 loss with "the change" as it will be known haha.
I still can't believe the Blues are Cup champs. I'm not arrogant or cocky about the Blues winning the Cup. I simply hate Marchand and made a joke.</div></div>
Dirty yes, dirtiest I would say no. Anyways its not really a dicussion I'm interesting in continuing. Congrats on the Cup, I've always been a big fan of Schenn and ROR game and wish that we had been able to get the last few pieces to make Schenn to BOS happen.

Justin is a good prospect but he hasn't exactly torn up the AHL. Make the pick a 3rd instead of a 4th and pinky swear you won't win the Cup again. I don't want to be picking #93.

Blues final roster
solid guesses. I'd be surprised if Eddy goes for moer than a year that cheap or that Sunny would go more than a 2 year bride at that rate and I think Husso definitely gets more but that won't effect your cap space. Otherwise excellent
On your lines
- I'd bet Steen starts over Fabbri, which is good because Steen is much better than Fabbri both offensively and defensively
- same with Sanford and Blais all though that's a bit more debateable
- There is no way in hell Kyrou sniffs the top 6 in the first half. They didn't even do that with Thomas last year and were only talking about him hittingthe first line in the second half when they assumed he'd make a smooth jump. Also, if the young guns were doing that well do you not think Thomas will make a jump to force his way into the top 6? While a lot can happen, health is pretty volatile and lineups can change day to day so these are all just "when healthy" educated guesses
- If /when Kyrou is up there he's a RWer, Perron transitions to the LW much better
What is more likely is one of three things assuming Kyrou makes the jump (both of which leave Fabbri and Blais or Macmac as the scratches, probably Blais)
1) Sanford plays on O'Reilly's LW leaving the top 6 from the SCF and putting Thomas both with Kryou who he looked so electric with last preseason that they started the season with both on the roster, and Bozak who Thomas looked great with in the playoffs as what was the Blues best line for the first two rounds before Thomas hurt his wrist. Then the 4th line from the SCF remains together too
or
2) one of Thomas or Bozak moves up to 2C and Schenn moves back to O'Reilly's left where he looked phenomenal during the Blues hottest streak in February and March. THat leaves Sanford, the reaminder of Bozak and Thomas, and Kyrou on the third line
or
3) Thomas moves to O'Reilly's left where you have Kyrou (basically switch Thomas and Kyrou then Fabbri and Steen then Sanford and Blais - arguably - then viola!)
So basically great job at the main purpose of the site I just guess a couple of shorter deals, the lines are unrealistic at best but hell that's guesswork that fluctuates a lot anyway

Blues trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rja40</b></div><div>I'm not sure Risto would be of interest to the Blues. Parayko has first pair RHD locked up, and it appears that Armstrong wants to re-sign Pietrangelo, who obviously locks up second pairing RHD. Bortuzzo is a cheap and solid third pair, so Risto really doesn't fit in St. Louis. He's a nice player, but the only way I see the Blues taking interest in him is if Petro and the Blues part ways. By then, Buffalo probably has already moved Risto.
One question for you though, why is a solid RHD like Risto even being considered as a piece to move by Buffalo? What do you guys know up in the Northeast that we don't in the Midwest?</div></div>
I would in no way trade that package for Schenn and Allen.

He signed his ELC but did not play actually. And yes Gusev will step into the league and be just as good as Panarin. Less of a goal scorer but more of a playmaker. As a Pens fan in win now I would easily give 2 firsts to acquire him, especially at such a low cap hit.

he was on pace for multiple seasons over 50+ also considering he came into the league late because he went through NCAA free agent out of college. Also he will pas 50+ this year easily this deal is quite good for both sides as nyr gets kostin immediately and can wait till next year for the 1st.

Blockbuster with Ottawa
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastModeUnknown</b></div><div>Not Allen. In particular Allen needs to be traded. His contract is holding us back from making a good signing. I don't see us trading for anyone at TDL in particular unless we are trying to get a better backup. Kyrou was OHL MVP, but he is already 20 Years old, and Kostin was Captain and MVP for WJC so Kostin is developing quicker, and the fact Kyrou is already 20 and you are saying he is MVP well yeah he has 3 years more experience than everyone else in the League.</div></div>
This is confusing to me. Kyrou is only a year older and is a PPG AHL player. Kostin is still struggling a bunch in the AHL. They're both good prospects, but pretending like Kostin has progressed faster is incorrect.

Actually the pick was #27 and got traded in the Schenn deal which is nice as well. We got Thomas with #20. Having two first round picks allowed us to trade for schenn and also take a wildcard like Kostin.

I don’t know how many times it has to be said. WE CANT GET PARAYKO! Without overpaying that is. He is an absolute stud on the right side and there is no reason to trade him away. So we would have to pay more than a rental in Gardiner, a good prospect in Kapanen and a couple decent picks?? So please to all leaf fans stop before St. Louis fans hate us even more
