Has an injury history and a career high of 38 points. I highly doubt a straight up trade is all LaF can fetch.

KAndre - Laffy Part 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdli</b></div><div>First, Thanks for the feedback. I was conservative with the second rounder. The consensus I've received here and in several other threads suggests a first rounder is more likely, particular if multiple teams are suitors. Now Dach for Laffy straight up would require some additional comp to the Rangers since Laffy has more upside potential. Add the 1st rounder, and I think that's got the makings of a deal. If the Habs want to give us another player, I won't object.</div></div>
Maybe the 3rd piece I proposed might be a bit much but honestly I think LaF could fetch Dach & a 1st pretty easily especially from Montreal. I think the possible bidding war between a few teams could fetch that 3rd piece.

As a Ranger fan I’m not ready to give up on him yet BUT if I were trading him…I’m sure MTL would give up the best package. I’m taking nothing short of Dach, MTL’s 2024 1st rounder (unprotected) and a Center prospect like Oliver Kapanen. If MTL declines then I’m sure another Canadian team would do a similar 3 piece trade.

I agree. Drury picked up way too many bottom 6 players with NHL experience just to send them to the minors. Bonino has to be taking Goodys spot. I also think Kane signs a league minimum deal with us 1/2 way thru the season after he heals up from surgery

Thanks for playing, try again later. Enjoy Goodrow.</div></div>
So for the first time in NHL history a team is gonna field an entire D Corps on ELC’s?? Something tells me we’ll be talking to each other again in a week or 2 when they take on a few **** contracts similar to Goodys. Talk to you then

I don’t know bro… seems like half your comments say how the rangers can’t afford Miller while the other half of your comments **** on every Miller (and Schneider) trade proposal. You seem conflicted

And you know we have the most stacked pipeline at LHD in the league already, right?
Clearly not, since you are using the same tired old line "DuCkS nEeD To ReAcH tHe CaP FlOoR sOmEhOw!"
We don't need your help, and we don't need Goodrow's contract.</div></div>
Bro… You got 1 defenseman making over a million dollars. And most of your D prospects are 19 years old and have barely played in the AHL yet. Drysdale played like 10 games last year. The Ducks will absolutely be taking on some poop contracts in the next 2 weeks. I guarantee it

Why trade your best player to keep the ones that haven't found their game? Lindy is good and you need to keep him too. Kakko and Laf? There's going to be something done there at some point.</div></div>
True but until Bread and Trouba free up 20 million in space 3 years for now we’ll likely allocate the little money we have on those 3 players. Miller is the last tradable asset to jockey money around until the 2026-27 season.
I’m sure there will be cheap vet stop-gaps available for the next 3 years in Free Agency to chew up some of Millers minutes while also giving Jones playing time

I don’t want to trade him but I think he’ll price himself out of the lineup since Kakko, LaF, and Lindy will also need pay raises. Trading him for a still “youngish” RW is the next best thing since it fills a need
Maybe instead of spending 4 million on Fast and Mikkola they sign OEL or something as a stop gap to replace Miller but I definitely see us swinging him in a trade for a RW

Ducks have 40 million in space this year and 62 million in space next year before accounting for Zegras and Terry extensions. They’ll need cap floor money and is getting an NHL ready former 2nd round defenseman for their troubles

If he was getting 2 mill from someone he would’ve gotten it by now. The longer this goes on the less he’ll get. I’m guessing between 1.25 and 1.75 at this point depending on term length of the contract.

Bro… we were 2 wins away from a Stanley Cup Final appearance and “The Kid Line” played a big role in that. I don’t think anyones growth is being stunted here. You sound ridiculous

Strome Bros- its a long shot but its doable
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gdli</b></div><div>Chicago would reject this deal in an instant. When they moved the Cat and Dach, that represented a shot across the bow for Kane, Toews, and Dylan Strome. The message was that their days were numbered in the Windy City. They want young players and high draft picks. In your proposal, the draft picks we can quibble about, but I can assure you the Hawks have no interest in Nemeth and his $2.5 CAP HIT. Ryan is looking for $6M, will likely get $5.5M+. Dylan will likely be a two-year bridge deal approaching a CAP hit of $4.5M - $5M. You proposal doesn't have enough free cap space to handle either one of them.</div></div>
And they literally just traded for Mrazek with his 3.34 GAA and .888%. Nemeth is a better Dman at 2.5 million than Mrazek is at 3.8 million

If the Hawks keep this fire sale up they’re gonna need players to hit the Cap Floor
