Cheveldayoffs days are limited
I respectfully disagree. Chevy has done pretty well all things considered in my opinion. The only thing that I didn’t like that he did is the Kevin Hayes trade a year ago. This offseason was not really his fault either:
Jacob Trouba : was as good as gone anyways
Tyler Myers: 6 years 6 million is way to much for him
Ben Chiarot: would have love to have signed him but got outbidded by an extra 500k per year
Buff: completely screwed us over and we can’t make any moves until he officially retires or comes back.
Tanev: way to long of a deal
Paul however should be moved on from in my opinion. We have had one maybe two good season with him as coach, simply not good enough. He can’t get the most out of his players, especially the bottom six, it’s been brutal. He constantly plays pylon scrubs who belong in the AHL other than young and promising players ( Bitetto instead of niku, Bourque instead of vesalainen most recently) are a few reasons why he should be gone in my opinion

Haha I think this is hilarious. I mean to be fair this is probably the only legitimate news that’s come from the Jets in the past 2 months so it’s big for us fans. Thank god there aren’t more ppl like TMLSage making these news posts.

Jets add a dman and forward-Sabres Wings trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spleenmaster1002</b></div><div>Wait why do you think Samberg sucks? He’s got size 6’4”, ~215 lbs, he can skate really well, is a great shutdown d-man but still scores (13pts in 15 games in one of the toughest leagues in NCAA hockey). He PKs and is on the PP. Hes got pretty much every tool to be a complete d-man in the NHL.</div></div>
Yeah I don’t understand why he’s so down on Samberg. He’s going to be really good. I’ve watched a number of his games and he’s really good. I think he’s immediately going to be a top 4 dman and will be really solid. He’s good defensively so I’m confused what he’s talking about... yeah maybe he doesn’t use his size right now but he looks like a man vs boys in the NCAA. With a good defenseman coach in Huddy, he’ll be a stud.

TOP 50 NHL-affiliated prospects thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spleenmaster1002</b></div><div>Vesalainen dropped because he played in Europe last year and has taken a while to re-adjust to playing in NA. He’s really stepped it up as of late, and should be ready to go for the Jets full time next year. Plus he’s only 20, he has time.
Also he should be 3rd on the Jets list over Chisholm and the rest, don’t know what Button is thinking</div></div>
Got to see Chisholm play for the petes this year. The guy is a stud!
But yeah, I just remember the trade rumors around OTT last year. They were trying to ply Vesalainen out of WIN for a possible stone trade. Winnipeg were apparently totally unwilling to do it. "Allegedly" But who really knows what goes on behind close doors.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spleenmaster1002</b></div><div>I like the additions, but maybe less than a 2nd for Karlsson? His career high is 24 points, and he only has 7 so far this year.</div></div>
Melker isnt in the nhl for scoring, hes an elite PKer and a strong forechecker. Not many outwork him, hes also durable af. A great piece to have in the playoffs and has enough ability to fill in on scoring lines temporarily.

If devils took that trade it would be great for wpg. Especially if we’re in a playoff spot. We’d still have space for buff to come back too. I think this is really good. Not sure how NJ values severson though.

Way too much for a 3Ld when we have a guy named Dylan Samberg who will be NHL ready as well as Logan Stanley fighting for that spot. I do like the idea of hamonic signing 5x4.55! Also if I’m Chevy I wouldn’t be afraid to give roslovic 6x4.76

playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spleenmaster1002</b></div><div>I’d probably swap the bottom six wingers around, Copp and Bourque with Lowry and Perreault and Appleton with Little. If we have Little’s line as a 3rd scoring line, we can afford to keep Copp and Lowry together for the shutdown role. I also think Appleton has more offensive upside compared to Bourque, so that’s why I’d switch them.
Fleury may not be needed if Niku can play well, and I wouldn’t trade a 1st for Hamonic, a second should be fine along with Dahlström/other prospect.</div></div>
I figured the first would most likely go their way in the form of a condition, like a 2021 2nd with condition that if hamonic resigns, it becomes the 2021 1st. I also agree with the comments on the bottom 6.

Clearly you’re not a jets fan, I don’t mind the trades. Not sure about the value on the CAR trade though. My issue with this is that you put little back at 2c. He’s not going back there. It’s likely that Wheeler stays there long term or roslovic ends up there. Little most likely goes to 3RW. Also the top 6 is pretty much a lock for the jets right now. The 1st line is clicking and the 2nd line is gaining that chemistry that’s needed. Also Kulikov has been awful and would most likely get passed on depth chart by Beaulieu and Fleury. Also poolman has been very reliable in the top 4 And would take that 3RD spot easily. Also having Perreault ahead of copp is a mistake.
Try d pairings as;
JoMo-Hammer
Beaulieu-Pionk
Fleury-Poolman
F lines as:
Connor-Scheif-Laine
Ehlers-Wheels-Roslovic
Copp-Little-Bourque
Perreault-Lowry-Appleton

offers for Perreault
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spleenmaster1002</b></div><div>Like sure I’d trade him at the deadline if we’re not close to making the playoffs, but as of now we’re still in the fight for the central playoff spots so we shouldn’t trade him for futures yet. Also we can’t trade him right now since we’re running a full AHL line as our 4th line due to injuries, we can’t lose any NHL forwards right now.</div></div>
You're debating with a Habs fan who says Perreault isn't great but would write an essay about how amazing Paul Byron is, save your breath.. Lol
The Jets need Perreault, it isn't even debatable, the Lowry line can barely score as it is, subtract Perreault from it and it gets even worse, if anything the Jets need another player similar to Perreault, never should of traded Armia!
