<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>iamcanadian98</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>You know even a last place team has only a 30% of getting first pick. Canucks would have to be absolutely dreadful to beat out Las Vegas for last overall. And the Avs are serious contenders too. Anyway the Canucks don't have to try to tank, it's going come natural this season.</div></div>

I think Canucks fans are well aware of how the lottery works thanks to the last 2 years. And Even if they Draft Dahli9n, he is not a generational player, probably wont even be in the NHL right away.</div></div>

You don't know what you're talking about. Which makes sense u probably just make up facts as u go along. Dahlin and svechnikov are both generational talents. Dahlin has been watched since he was 14 and at that time they said his skills were similar to karlssons. Watch some of his highlights and you'll see why he's so valuable. And with svechnikov he's been said to be the next Russian phenom for a couple years now.

So pay attention before you make comments like that.

And to answer OP question, yes they should. If they got dahlin they'd finally have a number 1 elite LHD. Canucks still need a number 1 RHD for when Tanev leaves. And elite LW. Without dahlin they still need a #1 LW LHD and RHD. Boeser is a #1 RW. Demko could be a #1 goalie. Pettersson could be a #1 C.

BUT HERES THE KICKER: you don't need to tank to get #1 guys. U just need good scouts and so far we have them. Boeser was picked late in the 1st round and Demko was picked in the second round.

<strong>Canucks won't contend until they have a #1 LW,
LHD, and RHD! </strong>
