Deadline
I don't see any way Florida does that as they aren't going to prioritize keeping Hanifin over their other pending UFA's. The other 2 trades are probably relatively fair but I don't think Toronto will be the ones to pull the trigger on a 1st for Tanev, probably someone else. It's well known that Treliving doesn't like trading for rentals

Realistic cost
It is not going to be a cost that you want to pay. Laffy has looked great this season with Panarin, looks 100% engaged, and is noticeably every game. It'll cost at MINIMUM Zary + 1st

Probably starts with Coronato, Poirier and 1st (yes an overpayment)

Realistic cost
A realistic cost would be a massive overpayment. Rangers haven't given up on him and hes looked better the last two weeks than he has in a long time. Picks don't help the Rangers right now, hes playing top 6 mins, so they'd need a roster player back to fill that role and he would have to fit under the cap. Rangers have less than 90k in cap space last time I checked.

is there any risk of Laf being offer sheeted
Probably not. Mostly because NHL GMs are cucks. Bouchard and Gustavsson are two easy targets too that would royally screw their respective teams if they had to match.

i don't think colorado moves newhook for an ufa winger, if that was the case i think they would have burned him for someone last season instead. I owuld like to add toffoli, i'm sure there is a deal around the 2024 1st instead

I'd do 2024 1st for hanifin straight up.
Penguins don't need Vladar and they wouldn't need calgary to retain on Hanifin given his cap hit and the penguins cap room currently.

Even if that's '24, Detroit is in no place to trade quality draft stock for someone who's 31 y/o.

Pass</div></div>
Alexis is essentially a 40 point player that is 21 years old, playing on the 3rd line and getting very little PP time. He has 35 EVP which is absolutely top 6 winger territory. If he got top 6 minutes and played the PP he would have been a 60 pt player at 21 years old. If the Rangers were to trade him, they would get a top 15 pick and a A prospect.

I wouldn't trade 16 ovr for Laf. I would see if there is some sort of player/players plus 2nd, or just offer sheet him but I think giving a first in a deep draft is not the way to go.

It happens in every market. It comes in phases.
There was a notion nobody wanted to play in Columbus on this site. That's put to bed
This should put the Calgary narrative to bed. More-so when they finally get the arena deal done (if ever)

LEAFS GIVE VIRTANEN A SECOND CHANCE AND MOVE MUZZEN TO LTIR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMarner10</b></div><div>Tbh I didn't see he was proved innocent. Anyways, it would still probably be bad PR for the Leafs, as there will always be those saying "rich people have an advantage in court" or "no one ever believes survivors", especially with Hockey Canada and that whole fiasco.
On another note, the Leafs don't have a need for him. He won't be cracking the top-9, and he was struggling even before he got bought out, so with all of the time that he has missed, it will be an AHL signing, and the Leafs won't potentially ruin their reputation for an AHL player.</div></div>
I do not think you realize the skill set that Jake Virtanen has interms of size, skating and shooting and now the motivation he has to success in the NHL..........Dubas is in the winning hockey business and if he thinks Virtanen could pan out ......he will give him a chance.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMarner10</b></div><div>Virtanen does not deserve a second chance. He's lucky that he's not in jail, and especially with what's going on with Hockey Canada, this would be an awful decision.
The Leafs and most other organizations have been actively trying to promote hockey as a sport for everyone (eg. Hayley Wickenheiser), this would be a step in the wrong direction.</div></div>
So you are saying that a hockey player who was found innocent in a trial does not deserve a second chance?

Lines trade thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tkachuckyyy</b></div><div>No chance man, just imagine what a contending team would pay for hubie at less than 3mill for a rental cup run. Hagel got two 1sts! HAGEL!!!!! even if the flames are a contender at the deadline, without an extension, tre can't let him get to UFA. This city was in the ruins with JG hitting UfA. People wanted Tres head. He won't let that happen again and would get a kings ransom just for Hubie. Imagine what dubas would pay to add the second highest scorer to a contending leafs team to help them end a massive drought! That alone covers the chucky trade, let alone weegar.
On the outside, it looks like Florida lost the trade but either hubbie wasn't happy and wanted out or he told them what tkachuk told Tre. He wasn't staying after this year. and it was better to move him now than at the TDL.</div></div>
Your probably right on if CGY trades Huby and Weegs at TDL they’ll get 3 firsts minimum, so 4 firsts + prospect for tkachuk is pretty good
