I wouldn't trade 16 ovr for Laf. I would see if there is some sort of player/players plus 2nd, or just offer sheet him but I think giving a first in a deep draft is not the way to go.

I’m just going to assume every ACGM that has a LHD traded to Detroit is a Troll post from now on.

Detroit have;

Jake Walman
Ben Chiarot
Olli Määttä
Simon Edvinsson
Albert Johansson
William Wallinder
Eemil Viro
Donovan Sebrango
Jared McIsaac

What on earth makes you think they would be interested in trading for a LD?

NYR buyout Goodrow at the same time even a rumors of offersheet. And then it will not be just to offersheet him. Honestly it will take something like this for Drury to consider it. I do think Laffy will still be a Ranger next year thou.

I'm not seeing why laf is valued like this. Nothing in his stats show him as being a top line winger. Sure, he has youth on his side, but so do 16OA picks.

Alexis is essentially a 40 point player that is 21 years old, playing on the 3rd line and getting very little PP time. He has 35 EVP which is absolutely top 6 winger territory. If he got top 6 minutes and played the PP he would have been a 60 pt player at 21 years old. If the Rangers were to trade him, they would get a top 15 pick and a A prospect.

Rangers can't take on Vladar's cap hit, take him out absorb Goodrow's contract and you'll have Drury's attention, although the value will still need some adjustment after that.

I get why a lot of people think this, a big part of his value is that he's a former 1OA pick who still has a lot of upside although yes he has been disappointing so far, but the main reason he's so expensive is cause that's how supply and demand works. I see so many prospective Laf trades on here that there's a lot of demand for him, and on top of that the Rangers don't have a reason to sell him, so it's gonna take a big offer to make it make sense for them.
