Bolts fan also, I don't like anything about this trade. What dust of some old Lightning players and pay too much and not get the help the team needs. No way!

This team needs to get their house in order. They need to move Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev, maybe Stamkos (hopefully not) and hope they get back some solid players or play the kids, if they make the playoffs...great. Brisebois made a mess of the roster and flexibility.

DeHann stinks! He gets pushed around, makes bad decisions trying to exit the puck, he gets beaten by speed like a rented mule. Watch him closely. Perbix is better. Bolts need a real hockey trade or so. Not shuffling around 4th liners and 3rd pair.

Thread:
What is Brisbois Doing
Got to be honest with you. If one is going to get that pumped and jacked for Eyssimont to be a top 9 forward, that won't cut the mustard here. He is a bottom 6 forward, can he elevate a third line, that would be nice, but I have never seen him do it consistently. Brisebois signed Bogo and he is usually the first guy benched. Signed and benched whenever Cooper can. JBB overpaid for Sergachev, Cirelli, Cernak. There is no money to get someone on the second line for scoring and playmaking and that is what the team NEEDS. Cirelli has never shown he can be that guy, he is a bottom 6 guy...ideally he is a 4th line center that kills penalties.
Once you get past the first line. There is no puck-mover player to set up Stamkos. THAT has been the problem two years ago and last year. Will likely be a problem this year as well with this roster. I was hoping that Barre-Boulet could be a puck mover, but he is too slow and small. So they need a guy, but Brisebois blew his wad of picks and inventory for the clunky largely unproductive Jannot.
The assertion that this guy overpaid for HiS own ass players is correct. The waivers pick ups I don't know JBB will need to find a diamond in the rough, and he hasn't done that in 3 years.
The Bolts will be competitive. But, I see the same problem as last year.
quote=Ledge_And_Dairy;4440686]You drastically underappreciate Eyssimont as he will have a full time role on the Bolts this year probably in the top 9.
Sokolov while having a solid year in the AHL has almost zero NHL experience. He really hasn't proven anything and getting cut from camp that early despite Ottawa not having Norris or Pinto is a noticeable red flag. Denisenko is not that far off that either, he certainly isn't worthy of a top 6 spot on the roster. He's an undersized winger who was less productive than ABB in the AHL last year.
Was JBD really a better option than Fleury or Bogo? Why? If he isn't better now than putting out a claim is pointless, they still have to be placed on waivers again to be sent down.
Also worth noting that Tampa is at 45/50 contracts. They are still very likely to look for a goalie on waivers and what if they want to sign some of their NCAA prospects later in the year like Duke or Howard. You can't just claim a bunch of guys for the sake of it[/quote]

Well SJ can retain some salary and TB will throw in some players in the minors. Which I thought may be needed to be done. Sergy is a better defensive player, but the Bolts need playmaking and scoring. It is just Point and Kucherov as playmakers.

Predicting the lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Point21</b></div><div>Hagel will get top 6 minutes and hopefully PP time as well. Coop has shown he has his favorites, he will test it in training camp and preseason and probably the first couple weeks of the season. If it works then Vladdy looks like a steal. if not he can sit in the middle 6 and go from there</div></div>
There will be some mixing and matching. The forward lines in the blue boxes looks like a good place to start. Namestnikov get reunited with Kucherov see if the cranks up his scoring. Second line works if Kilorn gets his scoring touch back and Hagel can get shots on net and not right at goalie pads. Third line might work if Barre-Boulet gets or finds some grit. Fourth line is what it is...I like Maroon. Bellemare is fine. Perry is a problem, makes the line a slow moving operation.
I noticed that I didn't miss Cirelli one bit offensively. I am still in shock that he severely overpaid for Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak in that order. Cernak deal was OK with me. If I hear one more time "The Future Selke Trophy winner about Cirelli, I am going to twist off. Paying 7 million for a third or 4th line center and penalty killer (in my book) is falling in love with your own players and the Lightning will be year to year with the cap for another 8 years. YIKES!

All I care about is the Lightning winning the Cup, so I see the holes in his game. BriseBois cornered himself last year signing Perry and Bellmare to two-year deals and now can't put Cirelli and Kilorn on the bottom 6. Cirelli and Kilorn fit on a different team perhaps.

I think they need more out of the top 6 and the weak link is Cirelli on offense. Probably Kilorn in this senario. They probably will keep him Cirelli team seems to be in love with him.

I totally don't want Cirelli as a second line center. He has close to zero playmaking and scoring ability. You should start peddling some trades with him. Maroon shouldn't be scratched if you have Perry on a line tripping over his own skates.

If this is what rattles you, then I don’t think you should be here. Saying Tampa is not as good as last year is me staying a fact. They are still gonna be good but definitely not as good as before. Honestly, what part of that statement really got you so heated that you really had to make a comment shoving the fact that the Canucks have never won a cup. You really had to go onto my profile and see that I was a nucks fan? Really?</div></div>
Bip, Bip, Bip...I don't think you should be here. Tighten up! I didn't take any offense. I am just blowing off some steam. Come on, that's number 1 BS, you shouldn't be here, I threw a roster up there, you responded, and hot shot just did some motor typing in the comments. Probably the Captain Obvious stuff like, the team won't be as good as last year and bam! I blew some steam. Ya know. You and I....listen....look.....we have no role for the team we root for...unless we work with or around or for them. Me I like Cups; Cup, Boat parade, Cup, Repeat. Cup in the early 2000s too. Cups!

This is a throwaway comment. No S--- this team isn't as good. Everyone following the NHL except Johnny Canucks fan knew that the Bolts were going to be over the cap and had to make changes. But after a few Cups they did what they NEEDED to do. Now it is stemming the tide. I like Stanley Cups. I know, I know the Vancouver folk don't know about it, I am tellin' ya. It is awesome.

No you don't know what the kids can do. But, there are really only two kids - three if Colton counts. They have strength or can combat with Line 1,2,4 here.

Those lines are not gonna get it done. It is OK, to have a bottom six that can play. But that second line is miserable a real hole with Mathieu (when has he looked like a top 6?) Stamkos and Palat do the same type of things and Raddysh third line already with them. Nah!
**These lines are good. There is no need to stack the top 6, when you should spread, and make depth… good job!**

I'd take Colton over Parise and Zajac as well. I don't even love the Perry and Bellemare adds as two. Maybe one and let the kids bang around. Way too up against the cap.
