I should hope the Blues would top that Soucy offer right now.
However, Nashville definitely passes.

Pens don’t need to give up a first to dump Zucker. He has one year left and other guys like Ladd and Gostisbehere were dumped on Arizona for a second.

I've heard rumors of Artturi Lehkonen getting a pretty decent return. Granted he's having a suprisingly good season this year, but if Lehkonen is getting a 1st or 2nd, then Jason Zucker would at least not be a cap dump.

Penguins aren't playing that to move zucker.
1st and 2nd are off the table. So are their prospect pool.

I don't think the hawks have interest in picking up a 28 year old center. They already have a dach, toews, and Strome and Reichel will be up with the NHL next year. Stillman has been hugely impressive given he came out of basically nowhere, is young, and with De Haan gone, they need a 2nd line LHD man and Stillman has the job.

This is quite reasonable, not bad at all coming from a non Devils fan. Thumbs up.
I’m definitely in the camp of not selling futures for short term assets for this and next season so I agree with this approach.
And while I wouldn’t mind trading for Kubalik, I’d prefer to try and move either Johnsson, Zacha or Tatar to get him. Wood’s combination of dynamism and power isn’t something we have an abundance of at the moment.
Forward lines are fine.
Defensive pairings are mostly fine as well, though it’s quite likely that one of Bahl or Walsh takes Jaros’s spot for next season. And Siegenthaler’s likely playing first or second pairing minutes next season as well (he’s been fantastic this year).
Bernier is a big question mark as he may have suffered a career ending injury. I’m hoping Devils sign another veteran (Husso, Kuemper, Campbell etc) or trade for a guy like Annunen or Dostal.
And Zacha’s QO is 2.75m so you’re a little short on his contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaseyFlyman</b></div><div>Laine is a 3x 30 goal scorer at 23, had a horrendous year last year, and is back to nearly a point per game this year. He's 4 points behind Barzal in 11 fewer games played.
Raty and 2 firsts might get the discussion going. Laine for Barzal straight up would be pretty close (with the Jackets adding).</div></div>
Laine has had a negative impact at even strength for the last 4 seasons, when he’s on the ice his team gets caved in and can’t generate any offense. He’s a powerplay specialist.
I wouldn’t even give the isles 2022 1st straight up for Laine and Laine + two 1sts wouldn’t even get you Barzal.

Funny you're worried about the Islanders cap, but have no regard for Oilers cap....who certainly don't need a 5m 3rd centre.

Would love to see them sign Lindholm and I'm good with Husso, but De Haan and Burakovsky do not make sense to me. De Haan I could live with due to the short term, but I just don't see the point in the Burakovsky signing with who is already in the system and him being a winger.

I like signing mr. Stanley Cup in Maroon. Not bashing the Miller Fiala deal because I think that is pretty close, but is that the best way to use Fiala as an asset going into 3 years of 15 mil in cap lost? Wouldn’t trying to get a younger guy similar to how they moved Granlund for Fiala?

Broberg has played 8 games in the NHL this season, and is playing well in the AHL (23gp - 2g - 15a - 17pts.) I'd be shocked if he's not playing next season.
Edmonton also has young forwards like Bourgault and Holloway - saying that you're not going to use them isn't realistic. Speaking of realistic, more likely that Duncan Keith retires than goes to Arizona. If he retires, Edmonton gets a cap rebate in addition to his cap space.

#1 If ARZ even considers that, then the Oilers take that and run. Keith has a NMC so why should he accept this?
#2 You talk about saving cap space then trade for Allen, Atkinson, Dunn, all of who combine more than Yamamoto, Ryan, Smith, Ceci. On top of that you added assets to get rid of them. Counter productive to your logic.
#3 I think this is just making trades for the sake of making trades. Don't think it improves the team at all. Look at your 4th line and 3rd pair. Those are not NHL regulars.
Check this link of what I think the Oilers should do. It's not sexy, but it's definitely better than making all these trades and being a worse team.
