Deadline moves Part 2
I'd rather sign Backlund and De Haan then sign Carlson and JVR. I think Backlund would make our center core extremely good, and he is a guy I think Q would trust more than JVR. Signing De Haan over Carlson is just because De Haan will be cheaper and left handed. The Hawks already have Murphy and Seeadrook who are RHD, Jokiharju is also a RHD and so is Ian Mitchell who will be ready in maybe two years. I also don't understand why you signed Cammalleri, I would rather play Sosh, or even a up and coming guy from the AHL like, Highmore or Louis.

Isn’t the relying on the young guys to step up the whole point?

Trade With CHI Year 3
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DarylthePony</b></div><div>So this does work out fine for now, but what about when you need to start resigning guys like Liljegren, Kapanen, Andersen, etc. However, I do like the idea of some of these trades and signings (still not sure why we need Anisimov though).</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>AA's contract is up AT the minimum RIGHT as Liljegren needs an extension. How much additional cap hit do you expect Anderson to get maybe $1m...$2M? That's already a pretty healthy contract. I do hear ya though, why does TOR need AA right now. I probably wouldn't do the trade (from TORs) perspective on this aspect alone.</div></div>
Well there is a lot of talk about TOR getting a center and a RHD at the deadline so I figured AA is better than any other center out there, and TOR doesn’t really have to give up that much in the deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dragonlocks</b></div><div>You add Anisimov (as the article suggests... go back and re-read it) and Kempny and now you're getting close...</div></div>
"But based on Jaeckel’s reports, it seems there are a few different things the Blackhawks could do in this case. They could do what Jaeckel reported, and package both Kempny and Gustafsson for an Ottawa roster player. The Senators have several young players signed for a few more years on the cheap (Thomas Chabot, Ryan Dzingel, etc) who could be of interest." This is directly from the article. There is no mention of AA in this section.

Big Moves for the future: CAR OTT WSH
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ekpaul87</b></div><div>Not sure where you're getting Rick Nash's value but Carolina isn't giving up Jake Bean++ for Anisimov. If they move him, it would be in a package for someone who will actually make an impact on their team. They already have enough 2.5C guys</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Agree for the most part, disagree on 1 point. Agree that Nash isn't getting close to what was said in the description. Agree that Anisimov won't get this package. I disagree that CAR has enough forwards in general even @ the 2.5C rate which is probably accurate for Anisimov at this point. CAR could REALLY use some net front presence to allow talent distribution among more than 2 lines. IF CAR are truly buyers...which I'm not sure they are...BUT i'd try to get creative. Add more pieces from CHI, maybe if they're unhappy with Darling work something out where we take him back. We also have to keep in mind AA's partial NMC.
***EDIT*** it is interesting to see that Bouma is practicing with the 2nd line. I'm not sure who Bowman thinks he's fooling with 2nd line, but he's definitely going to get traded somewhere! That conversation of...would you like to get traded...yeah that's already happened with Bouma.</div></div>
Nash's value is according to Elliot Friedman, and if Nash is going for that value why can't AA go for Bean and a few picks. I do agree that CAR might not be the destination, but this is the return I think the Hawks could get based on the value of the other players on this years market.

Trade with PIT, TBL, and TOR at the Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>As a Hawks Fan, I'd begrudgingly do this trade. Forsling just needs a little more time to develop and then he'll an 82 game 2nd pair Dman...optimistic ceiling as top pair Dman. And I'd do this trade because PIT could say the same about Fgus and you need to give pieces to get pieces.
***EDIT*** Keep in mind that Forsling/Rutta have been the most used 2nd pairing for CHI this year...so it's not like he's NOT a 2nd pair Dman already. He's just still learning that position.</div></div>
I agree that Forsling will be a solid Dman, but the Hawks have two up and coming studs in Mitchell and Jokiharju, and they don't have any good goalie prospects. This also gives the Hawks another 1st round pick in a really deep draft.

Please help us all understand how you are going to move his NMC? Furthermore, why are you going to get rid of arguably one of our top 3 points scorers?
Lastly, why are you content on trading Connor Murphy? He is are best D player this season.</div></div>
AA value is probably at its highest, and the Hawks need to get younger and faster. AA could be the perfect rental for a contending team which also makes his value better. Also Murphy has not been the best Dman this year, I would play Forsling, Rutta, Oesterle, and Keith over Murphy.

The cap is supposed to go up to around 80 mil, but if it doesn't then we will only resign Stone if he plays well with Toews, then we try and trade Seabrook to resign Rutta. If that doesn't work then we have to hope a prospect can fill Rutta's place.
