Massive Pettersson package
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>He makes 4.8M for the next 6 years, is stuck on the 4th line, and doesn’t provide offense. You can get just as good or better players for your bottom 6 for much cheaper (example: Teddy Blueger)
Hertl in his 3rd season had more points than Kotkaniemi has had in any of his 6 seasons. Hertl in his 6th season had 74 points, while Kotkaniemi is on pace for 28 in his 6th season this year</div></div>
If you're going to compare seasons look at the age season that you're comparing so it's actually a good comparison. Their points pretty much match up from age 20 to 23 seasons.
Also Teddy Blueger has zero upside. KK still has tons of upside even after his sixth season. Teddy Blueger wasn't even in the NHL when he was 23 lol

KK is arguably a cap dump. He’s a 4.8M 4C. He has 5 points in his last 37 games. I would much rather have a 2nd round pick</div></div>
Lol KK is not a cap dump. Dude is only 23 years old, still has plenty of upside. He's struggling right now, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have value. His current trajectory is actually pretty similar to Tomas Hertl early in his career. Not saying KK will definitely turn it around like Hertl did, but it's possible that he could.

Necas is a lot better than Tuch was at the time of that trade and KK is worth more value than just a 2nd. Morrow is worth quite a bit more than Krebs.

So yes it’ll cost you more than Necas, KK, Morrow, and a late 1st. You don’t get a borderline top 5C/top 10 player for that</div></div>
Necas, KK, Morrow, and a 1st is better than what you just described that Eichel got

He has the potential to be a top 2 defenseman for any team and people are describing him as "the next Adam Fox". I consider that a blue chip prospect. Sounds like you have an unrealistic definition for "blue chip". Nikishin is untouchable and Morrow is just about untouchable himself. You'd be lucky to get either one in a trade for Saros.

Yeah I just threw TDA in there because I had to get the cap to work and didn't feel like making another trade lol. Koivunen might be something more interesting to the Hawks than Gunler. I agree I don't really know how valuable Gunler is anymore which is disappointing like you alluded to.

I just feel like Reilly Smith would be similar to Bunting but not as good. He's older, not as good of scorer, and probably about the same defensively. If we were to trade Bunting I would want something better than that. One plus for Smith though is he does have a lot of playoff experience and has played well in the playoffs.

One stop shop
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Pretty sure Kahkonen gets a bit less, especially without retention. Hill would probably be the comparable for him, so the Sharks are probably looking closer to a 4th round pick for Kahkonen. Aside from that, Duclair would need to step up his offensive production to really be worth moving a 2nd for. Value is probably closer to a 3rd, but I would move a 2nd if he were to breach that .5PPG mark, at the very least get a bit closer to that mark. That being said, value isn’t too far off, and more just minor nitpicking.</div></div>
The second rounders are mainly because of the retention on Duclair and the fact that we would need SJ to take Raanta and TDA for us to fit under the cap. If we didn't need retention or for them to take two cap dumps then yeah I would probably throw two thirds their way for Duclair and KK and call it a day. Pretty sure the Hill trade was done in the offseason so I think KK would be slightly more than him since it's the trade deadline but otherwise yeah I agree.

Trade deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>I'll start by saying I don't think the Islanders will trade Brock Nelson, especially within the division. But him at 50% retention it's going to run you a 1st, 2nd and good prospect anyways. Drury seems to be ok but not sure what his true upside is. As for Gunler, he seems to be an overseas prospect who isn't very talented. The "division tax" for Nelson (assuming they'd even trade him within the Metro) means it's going to have to be a higher prospect/pick than Gunler</div></div>
All I'll say is that I got this trade from an Islanders fan and I actually added to it lol. I just picked a random prospect that I thought the Isles might want. Drury has more to give and he'll get more ice time elsewhere. His upside is a 2C, but he needs to build on his offense to become that. He's great defensively and at faceoffs and I think he'll be a good to great 3C at the least. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback, could add a better prospect depending on which one the Isles want. And I do agree that I don't think Nelson will be traded.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>I don't know much about the Canes prospect pool. I just know Honka isn't the type of D man the Hawks would have interest in. Undersized, offensive minded who struggles in his own end isn't what Hawks want on their blue line. Hawks would target a big bodied RD like Morrow or Legault. Or a bigger winger (over 6 foot) who can skate. That's the Hawks two biggest needs. Any deal for Murphy w/ retention is likely going to be an overpay from the acquiring teams perspective.</div></div>
Giving up a first round pick is already an overpay from our perspective. The only other thing to be done is change the prospect to one the Hawks would want or even add a second prospect to it.
Edit: Also Morrow is not available
