i disagree about Gally, hes on a bad habs team. I watch every habs game as well and i agree he doesnt look the same but its hard to play good alongside Dvorak and a young struggling Slafkovsky or Alex Belzile

They made it clear that the long rebuild marches onward. Also, it’s going to cost at your 2023 First to dump Granlund, you have to pay to move his contract. Likewise with Petry, you’re going to have to pay to move that contract as well.</div></div>
maybe but he's still a useful player whos only a few years off of a solid season

i thought about that but the hawks need some talent to play with Bedard next year. the second is also relatively low ish

Gally at a reasonable salary is a very useful player. the cap is projected to go up significantly so that 3.5 will turn into 2.0 very soon

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>He might be to someone, but for Winnipeg Yamamoto isn't good enough offensively for the top 6 and isn't good enough defensively for the bottom 6.
He's not an effective player on the Oilers and I can't see that changing coming to Winnipeg that has a deeper forward group than Edmonton. So, Yamamoto isn't going to get the minutes he does in Edmonton or have McDavid to get points for him.</div></div>
fair enough, Winnipeg was more of an example team. It can be any team really, at the end of the day it's just ridding of his 3 mill right (while also getting something sufficient back)

oilers deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>That's the best offer for Timo Meier I can recall seeing. As a Kings fan, I hope you don't make that offer in real life.</div></div>
If i'm the sharks Holloway, a prospect and 2 firsts are the minimum. I'm swapping Puljujarvi's 3 mill with Meier's contract being retained at 50%, the sharks would need to be compensated for that (and i feel as though it's not necessarily enough to receive for a rebuilding team like the sharks) hence why I added Schaefer. How I look at it if i'm the oilers is like this, will Dylan Holloway or Reid Schaefer be better than Timo Meier? No. Do the oilers need to win now? yes. Ideally I wouldn't be giving up prospects like Holloway and future assets If i'm another organization, but when you have Mcdavid and Draisaitl you always need to go for it. Chychrun, Meier, and some depth acquisitions can help get that done. My main reasoning for the massive deals though is due to the fact that the West is weak, and the oilers have a real shot in going deep again.

I'm not an oilers fan so i'm just gonna say there's no bias here. I feel as though Yamamoto is worth a 2nd, the jets 2nd will be a low pick and Yamamoto in the right situation can be an effective player on a third line role on a bigger team like the jets

The guy who didn’t offer that contract to anderson.
that guy.
I wish you were the Columbus gm. We would have won 8 cups by now.
haha yeah the guy who traded the much better Josh Anderson for Max Domi, the guy who's let tortorella control the team fully and berate his star players so much they want to leave. the guy who stupidly gets Patrik Laine when everyone on the planet knew it wasn't gonna work with tortorella. and yeah i could've won the jackets cups if i was there. anyone with common sense could. and it starts by firing that control freak tortorella
No jarmo would not go for that.</div></div>

ik drouin to columbus sounds crazy but its just really an example of the type of trade id make to get rid of him, but thinking they wanna keep Laine happy so to intrigue him and help him out bring in some skill and kekalainen is dumb so he might go for it. if i was columbus i wouldnt tho. and ovi would come with a signing bonus and some money off the cap
