<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>I don't think Lauko is a lock. He should be,but his play hasn't shown that. I hope he locks it down tomorrow though.
The 13th forward doesn't need to be a 4th line plug. The Bruins have plenty of guys they can call up for a short term 4th line role and send back down that either would clear waivers, or wouldn't even need waivers. I could see Heinen or Boqvist being a 13th forward that can effectively slot into the bottom 9 for a few games on either wing, but the same can't be said for Greer or Brown. And through the preseason, Heinen has shown more than Boqvist. I wouldn't be so quick to write him off.
And at this point, I think Lohrei is destined for a top 4D spot this season, but probably not to start the season. By the end of the season, I think he'll be there.
Can't wait to see what they actually choose for this team on opening night! Hoping Poitras can stick for the year, too.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>Lauko is the most likely to be claimed. I’d be very upset if he was let go</div></div>
He won't be sent down because he <strong><em>will</em></strong> get claimed. He is pretty much a lock to make the roster, this doesn't mean that he will play every game tho...although I would personally like him to.

Remember all those proposed trades on here for Ullmark or Sway when they’d send back a goalie saying we’d need a backup?
And every time i’d say. Umm….noooooo….we really don’t.

Risky Trades That Might Just Work
The Columbus trade is interesting. I think I'd take it as a Columbus fan, although you're going to want Boqvist higher in your lineup than third pair. He's a finesse defenseman, not a bruiser. Hell of a PP QB, though.

Want nothing to do with Couture unless SJS is basically giving him away with retention. Not a real 1C and he's about the oldest option out there, and he's got too much term

Poor Boston
Well you see Sam Bennett is never gonna get 7.5 mill. I’d pay the other Florida C/W Sam “Reinhart” that money though.
Sam bennett is a great 3C and around average 2C he’s had the luck of playing with 2 elite wingers in Tkachuk and Huberdeau who definitely helped his point production.
At most I can see him getting a Barbashev like deal.
Devon Toews however could potentially get around 7.5+ mill for short term but I’d say 6.5- 7 is best value for long term. But I doubt bruins would add him, lohrei and Brunet are on a good trajectory to take over the other 2 LHD spots outside lindholm and if bruins do target a UFA LHD it will probably be hometown boy hanifin.
No way Boston targets vanecek, sway will be our 50-60 game start post Ullmark and we have enough goal tending prospects to fill out the back up spot. Brandon Bussi was a top 3 goalie in the AHL last year he will be our long term back-up
Also cap will be 90+ by 25-26

Does this make sense for Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>beantownboy17</b></div><div>Every team in the league is interested in Carlo. He's "the most boring defenseman in the league" to quote an article from a few years ago. He's on the ice for the fewest goals scored by both teams which, on a team with another competent offensive defenseman, is very welcome. Plus he's entering his prime as a defender on an amazing contract. Guys like him don't get crazy returns because of the lack of offensive upside, but that package doesn't get him. Mittelstadt or Krebs, an A- prospect like Ostlund or Rosen , and a 2nd. A 1st if the prospect is lesser.</div></div> <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JLance</b></div><div>Jokiharju, Rosen, conditional 1st makes a lot of sense to me from how the Sabres want to form their team. Mittelstadt is far from untouchable but they need Savoie, Benson and Kulich to mature before trading him without an offensive return.</div></div> <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Are you kidding? They take that and run away laughing.</div></div> Carlo is greatly under-rated and earlier this year, nearly every Sabre ACGM wanted to send Casey to the moon.
Jokiharju is still underappreciated in Buffalo but Granato plays him 21 minutes so he out ranks ALL Buffalo ACGM's.
The trade above is still tilted a bit Boston, but it is really close.
<strong>Boston</strong> gets a center to play between Marchand and Pasternak and 24 yo RHD who has 5 years of NHL experience while playing over 21 minutes per night the last two seasons.
With the retention Boston fills out the 23 player roster and still is $500,000 under the cap.
<strong>Buffalo</strong> gets a solid NHL defender who along with Clifton plus Dahlin and Power maturing would be a huge upgrade over last year.
<strong>Sweeney</strong> probably does not want to move Carlo at this point as he is priced right, RHD and the Bruins #1 PK D-man.
Buffalo probably does not want to move Casey as he gives Buffalo great depth at center.
Remember he stepped up to the top line and over the last 11 games registered 17 pts.
Imagine what he could do with Marchand and Pasternak.
Krebs, Rosen, and a 2nd for Carlo would be a dream for Buffalo IMO, as Buffalo keeps Casey and Henri.
I doubt Sweeney would accept that deal.

No, also some I think they don’t want to lose, but he’s definitely more available than him. Would rather think they would “like” to lose some of their recent top draft selections like Savoie(Don’t see a fit for him at center in Buffalo), Rosén (not sure about his value), Östlund (probably available but think Buffalo rate him higher than other teams). I would try get Savoie if I was the Bruins. He got star upside

If he can put up 20 g consistently he is worth way more. A 20g winger makes more than this

Like to see Alex Carrier or trade for Liljegren when Matthews gets 14 million from TOR as 3RD unless a rookie pans out. A Defense first look could mean Regula gets looks too.
And I'd sign DeBrusk at 6 million for 8 years.</div></div>
Yeah Roy is the one player I chose that probably won’t go to market the Kings really seem to value him and I totally agree on your point about Zacha I think that if we get to the TDL and he’s really underperformed It’s a good idea to go after Lindholm pretty aggressively and if that doesn’t work Scheifele could unfortunately be the next best option
