You think the lines will stay the same? I feel they still need to be shaken up more because we’re still losing

Rasmussen is two way. Wagner hits. Rasmussen over Wagner for 4th line C
Also, Kase won't play on the 4th line in anaheim as his size and play style is not a good fit. Kerdiles over Kase for that spot.
I also see Montour and Bieksa swapping because having a stick on the inside is better for offense and having a stick on the outside is better for defense.

Players who've won a cup vs Players who haven't (No Cup)
You must be a kings fan putting 6 kings players in here.
Chara over Muzzin
Jagr over Toffoli
Justin Williams has 3 RINGS, why leave him out?
Justin Williams over Carter
Hossa over Saad
Sharp over Kopitar
Marchand doesn't deserve to be on the first line on a cup players team
Fleury has 3 cups over Murray's 2, so Fleury over Murray
Literally the only player on here who isn't from the same three teams is Getzlaf. You know there's more than 3 teams that have won a cup right?

Yeah who cares about building a dynasty, let's just trade all of our first round picks for an oilers player (because that worked out so well for the kings in the early 90's)
Oh and to make it better, lets give up the rest of our early round picks while we're at it!
:laugh At least you get one pick in return from all of that. Wait, its a 7th? /facepalm

Adding the Missing Pieces - A Full Roster Speculation
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jhmiddleton81</b></div><div>As an outsider, the Ducks need another high end scorer if they want to win another championship, their defense is phenomenal, but if a Vatanen can somehow get you a Duchene, JVR, Galchenyuk, etc. in a package I would do that all day. The Ducks don't really have enough scoring to compete with the bigger teams like Nashville (better defense), Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Toronto, Tampa Bay. If they add that then I think they can compete for a cup legitimately</div></div>
While I do agree with needing a high quality scoring winger, I also believe that trading Vatanen would downgrade the ducks defense, no matter who you got to replace him from FA. If there was a way for us to get another defender with Vatanen's ability, then I would be fine with getting rid of him, but since he's on IR, there's not really a rush to get rid of him right now

Interesting decision going with Kevin Roy. Also, your roster is one skater too large.
I like this team though, but we gotta figure something out about having one too many D once Vatanen comes back from injury.

I dont see Doan taking that contract just to play fourth line. Maybe go Doan-Getzlaf-Eaves, C-K-S, Ritchie-Rak-Perry, and send Kase down?

The Caps have Cap probs
You probably have cap problems because you buried almost 5 million.
You also have no picks so once this team doesn't win the cup for at least the next three years you will have very low rated drafts. But hey, the caps are a team that likes building through Free Agency so who am I to talk

Vats out, D holds up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>goldie078</b></div><div>If COL had no other option but to trade with ANA, and Vatanen + 2nd was the best offer -- they would not retain salary. They could play Duchene on defence and be better off without the trade
The GMs that value a D like Vatanen come out and deal early. The rest are stingy and stupid enough to clearly set their team up to fall on its face.
Might have to wait until the trade deadline to find an eager GM again, when cap space has been banked and uncertainty about their team's chances have declined.
As for COL and Duchene, I think we're all idiots for waiting and dreaming because no outsider will see the conclusion coming. More like Stastny than O'Reilly, more like Kesler than Nash.</div></div>
I agree. We would need to give up more than vats for Duchene (maybe a B prospect like Jones/Comtois/Morand?), and I would like to keep our second, seeing that we do well in the second round. Maybe a distant 1st, then the salary retain can stay? What do you think?

None of Copp, Tanev or Armia are going to be future game breakers, and their 2018 1st rounder should be quite a bit later with this roster.</div></div>
But what happens with the depth once the Sedins are gone? Those 3 might not be game breakers, but they are affordable options for depth that a team that any team looking for a deep run would want to have.

It's a 1 year rental to go all in while the likes of Trouba, Laine, Ehlers, Morrisey, Connor are on ELC's. No plan on re-signing the Sedins unless they take a huge paycut to play on the third line (which, if they're close to winning the cup they might).</div></div>
I like the rental part, which is why I gave 3 instead of 2. As for Perreault, how do you all think he would feel playing on fourth without any special team time? and what would be the next steps if someone gets injured while you only have 100,000 cap space?

Do Jets fans really want the twins that bad?
It just seems like a little too much potential AND your top two draft picks just for two players way out of their prime that haven't won anything but a conference title in their career.
Looks good on paper though, even though Petan and Connor playing that high in the system could be a stretch. I don't know how Perreault would feel playing on the fourth line without any kind of special team minutes (which is what he excels at).
Backed up against the cap wall too, not much to work with
But if that's what Jets fans think will win the cup, it is a pretty deep team, it's just that if you dont win now you have a very small window with the Sedins.

Anaheim Ducks 2018 Stanley Cup Champs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanderm</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AHendrie</b></div><div>This is god-like</div></div>
Nothing about Wideman is god-like. This team is better off with any internal depth option.
Jagr is a different story. Stalberg a decent depth add. As a non-ANA fan, I would not be happy to see Jagr sign in ANA.
Also have to think that Rakell is going to stay on Getzlaf's wing as long as he's scoring at the rates he did last year.</div></div>
Wideman is a shot blocking machine; a top four penalty-killing defenceman to replace vatanen after the trade (Montour replaces his powerplay ability).
Jagr is a great addition to GETZLAF AND EAVES (NOT GETZLAF AND RAKELL)
Seriously, have you watched the ducks at all? Rakell only plays with getzlaf when Perry is on the line. Otherwise it was usually Eaves and Ritchie. Rakell plays with Perry and Kase/some wing depth. In this case, it's stalberg who adds scoring ability and size which is exactly what RC/the ducks love to use on the team.
To Recap:
Wideman is Vatanen's Top 4 replacement
Jagr is for playing with GETZLAF AND EAVES
Stalberg adds size and ability to compliment Perry and Rakell.

Trade with CGY VGK and DET
This team looks nice on paper, but gotta do something about that cap space being under the floor, also Williams is the only solid playoff proven player on here, so i don't see anything more than the first round for this team. You also have 10 contracts expiring this season, so good luck trying to keep this team together.
I do like too see a Hurricanes GM that actually tries his best to make a playoff-caliber team though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyNM1510</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Smitty426</b></div><div>How are Anaheim fans allowing Silf to be the expansion pick
Are you guys missing this guys game this year?
There are easier and less costly ways of doing this.
Last resort would be trading him for a great return, but for nothing is insane</div></div>
The person who is making this post is either not an Anaheim fan or crazy. Most Anaheim fans that aren't crazy on here know how valuable Silfverberg is.
They won't let Silfverberg go to Vegas. Though some people are gonna not think.</div></div>
The reason I have silfverberg going in the expansion:
The ducks have getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, and bieksa on NMC, therefore if they don't use the 8TP 1G format, they can't protect their top 3 defencemen. In my opinion, vatanen would be the one unprotected if they did use this format, and Vatanen has more value to me than Silfverberg does.
This is why I have the ducks trading vatanen because of the value of return (which is Brendan Gallagher, to a team that needs puck moving defencemen) and Simon Despres for cam Atkinson to a team that wants defencemen for the penalty kill since it's possible for jack Johnson to be leaving.
This roster is my first roster created, so I was merely just testing out how this works. It's not something I put hours and hours of work into, more like 15 minutes.
P.S.: Yes, im a ducks fan.
