Game 2 Lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingExLeafs</b></div><div>Jones saved the Leafs season. He still is capable of providing better goaltending than what Sammy and Woll are giving right now.
Liljegren will get exposed as the series goes on and the intensity ramps up. Gio can play good if given 12-14 minutes. Last year he was exhausted. This might be his final year so he'll be extra motivated to put in a good performance every game.
And Gregor is a better option than Holmberg and Robertson but I just like the meanness and physicality that Clifford plays with. Ideally him and Reaves see the ice for 5 minutes and hit everything in sight. For this series the Leafs should roll with 3 lines and then revert back to rolling 4 lines when McMann is ready to play.</div></div>
I'd hope that a playoff d man could play 12-14 minutes, be he isn't that and you want all your guys to be ready to potentially play 20 minutes. I'm definitely not saying play Gregor but I was saying him not Clifford because Gregor is a physical presence he had 150 hits this year. If Leafs play Clifford their destined to get swept

My thoughts on Game 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Nice analysis. Not that the Leafs were that bad or outplayed badly but in key situations, they were one step outta place,
The forwards were OK, but it the same problem with the Dmen. No one played to their potential. Last night, Brodie, Giordano and Timmins were scratches. Not sure who they replace and certainly no guarantee that the inserted player makes things any better.</div></div>
yeah exactly, like if I had to choose Brodie could get a game and one of Edmunson or Benny would come out because neither of them were very good. But I'd give them one more game or else something is gonna change.

Game 2 Lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingExLeafs</b></div><div>Jones is better than both Sammy and Woll right imo. That last game against Tampa was a joke, he wasn't at fault for those goals. Jones has proven in the past that he could go on a cup run.
Liljegren is too soft and weak to play against Boston. He gets crushed alongside the boards, at least Gio who is a passion merchant at this point in his career can bring experience and shot blocking to the team. Liljegren offers nothing.
Clifford is a guy who can match the physicality of Boston's bottom six better than Robertson, Gregor, and Holmberg can. If McMann was healthy he would obviously go in.
And I like JT better as a 3C, which means bumping Domi down to 2C. JT has to be given sheltered minutes, not a top six role. He was at his best this year on the 3rd line.</div></div>
Jones cup run was like 8 years ago. Lily was probably the Leafs best d-man in game 1 and no Gio is not physically capable of taking on the load against Boston. With Clifford, at that point bring in Gregor because he plays a similar game but he can actually skate.

My thoughts on Game 1
BOS 5 - 1 TOR
The Leafs in the first probably 10-12 minutes just didn't have any push, they easily could've been down 3-4. But the last 8-10 minutes (in the first) Leafs had Boston on the ropes, causing turnovers and many scoring chances but they just didn't capitalise. And I think up to when Matty had that heartbreaking missed opportunity that is kind of where the game fell apart and Boston was just in control. I like to see Kampf getting on the board. I honestly wasn't too upset with them in this one but they just need to play the full 60 minutes and they have a shot here but if they don't do that, Boston will take advantage and the boys might be teeing up early once again.
I would say don't change anything (like do not put Marner and Matthews together give them both another shot on the same lines), yes we didn't get the results we wanted but there was times where I thought they played well. Knies had an intresting game, he caused many problems but he did well with cleaning them up, so even though it wasn't perfect give him one more shot. An all swedish line could be fun and might as well try. I hope Bobby is back for tomorrow because last night we needed his game. That fourth line was pretty decent but they gave up too much. I think Rielly had an okay game because he was not good in that last bit of the season. Benoit and McCabe didn't have a great game, we need them to step up because we know they can do better. Liljegren actually suprised me last night and made a couple of good plays. As for Sammy, I don't blame him go back and watch those goals like defence was not existent but we'd like for him to save some of the tough ones.

Going for the cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nhl_oilers</b></div><div>Not a chance. Ceci is a solid defender who can easily net us a late 2nd. Kulak is a good bottom pair guy that has a reasonable 2.75M contract. Definitely can get a 3rd. Reilly Smith is worth a 3rd.. even ask Pens fans. Not giving much more for a guy who has 37 points in 71 games this year. Also, how does that get more than Ceci? I’m convinced people don’t know who Cody Ceci really is, and many are just living in the past.</div></div>
That is why I said maybe a 2nd but yes a 3rd is fair to. But although Ceci isn't that bad and actually a solid d man but he has no value in a trade to other teams and that's the same with Kulak. Not saying they are bad but they win't get much in a trade.

Lundell could be interesting.
Kovacevic and Armia don’t really move the needle. Think both teams would be better off standing pat.</div></div>
We just seen it with Hertl so this isn’t fully out of the realm of possibility.
Yeah I thought so.
Yeah I see what you’re saying but it is pretty low risk, either both players play well or they don’t, only give a 3rd and don’t have to bring them back.

Test for hronek
As dumb as this already is the contract you’re giving Hronek the compensation is 2 firsts, a second and third. So why would they do this because if anything they don’t match and they get a much better deal. Faulk won’t have any kind of value to the Canucks because he is kind of washed.

Dubas would be crazy for making this trade. He might end up giving the Sharks an 11th OA pick for Karlsson, and now flipping him after 1 year AND retaining $2M/year! Not going to happen.</div></div>
I don’t think he’s going for very much, this could be light but I don’t think it’s going to be anything crazy
