For me, he’s 100% the 2nd best option for MTL with the way the top 4 rolled out. I got Iggy before, but not a lot higher

If CHI goes for Lev, then ANA should either go best LD (Dickinson or Silayev) or Lindstrom/Sennecke.
But, I do see CHI going for Demidov honestly.

Ekblad is probably not even worth a top 10 pick. That’s a pretty quick no for MTL, we’ll just draft Tij

They don’t really have any long term RDs. Realistically, they have a bunch of holes to fill still

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>Levshunov is tempting, but has a lot of holes in his game. Demidov is easily the second best player in the draft and would pair nicely with Bedard, especially with Chicago already having a decent defensive depth in the prospect pool.</div></div>
Imo, taking Lev here would easily be considered drafting for need. I would definitely understand it if Demidov had outside factors that impacted (bad character, Russian factor) but the fact that he is reportedly a very good locker room guy, and he has a 1 year deal, risk do seem low for CHI

Probably a no. I get we dump Anderson, but if we don't get something actually valuable, it is not really worth moving down 6 spots

If you add a little more, maybe Zegras could be a target.
(The Dach trade is fair imo, but at this point, MTL are starting to build a competitive team, so they will keep guys like Dach)

Updated 1st round rankings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GM_MZ_WSH</b></div><div>I don't see the Capitals taking Connelly at all. I could see him sliding into late first round or second round because of his character concerns. Teams don't want to waste a pick, get called out by fans, or upset players. Caps have a Jewish player in their system, so there would be obvious friction</div></div>
Not a mock, but I do agree that teams will skip on him. Probably ends up in a team that is a top tier competitor who can take a risk, like Vegas or Colorado, or a team with a crazy prospect pool

Sennecke
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheMooterus</b></div><div>Not saying a team won't have him higher on their board and take him (I have him a bit higher than most), but the highest he's ranked by just about all reputable scouting sources is #17. Some even have him sliding down into the late 20s/early 30s. Again, not saying a team in the top-15 won't value him higher and pick him with their top-15 pick, but there is a very realistic chance that he winds up somewhere in the 20s.</div></div>
Realistically, I don’t think the boards are all that “updated” . Bob
McKenzie, arguably the most reliable, has him at 14, but he probably gets another rise at the last rankings

Both Cole #1 and 34 didn’t have hockey problems, just 1 factor. Eiserman got a bunch of hockey flaws (especially skating), but also the bad character

If we want Iginla, we should just pick him at 5. It's not worth risking losing the chance to draft him. He will be a main target for most teams

Just let Gallagher rot on 3rd line and send Anderson to Minors if we have to</div></div>
for that cheap, might as well do it. That gives us maximum cap flexibility, and we can even overpay UFAs (for short term deal only) and get competitive faster

No shot he's there at 26. The guy is a top-10 caliber prospect. He could realistically slip out of the top 10 due to the amount of good prospects this year, but there is no way he falls past 15 imo. Likely, he will go anywhere between 5 and 12
