Ovi is gone next year
Ovi is def worth a hell of alot more than Domi and Dvorak. Arizona would need to give up probably both and OEL and also a 1st just for Ovi. On the Coyotes Ovi probably would have more points than their whole team combined.

1 trade can lead to a cup
That actually would be the best trade for each team. Blackhawks shed cap and fill AA with a griddy player that is young and TBL get a player that can play wing or center which also is one of the best face-off takers too. As a hockey fan this makes alot of sense.

Taking advantage of Wings cap
Even then why not just give Andersson a shot...im pretty sure he's better than Nielson or close to it even without NHL experience. He did play in a mens league just like Matthews did. so why not try it out.

Contenders for cup
cant even work at all due to the salary cap. Also we would not trade our 2 center men prospects because we need center men more than wingers and actually defensemen. Either trade cant and will never happen.

19 Trade up. Remortgage
100% will never happen. The Rangers will be contenders until Lundqvist retires and everyone forgets about our probably best prospect goalie, Igor. So the Rangers for awhile will be making the playoffs and one of these days will finally get their cup. No need to rebuild when they have a pretty young team as it is. With KK retired and G gone only 3 players are 30 or older. We dont need to rebuild until guys like Z and McDonagh are gone and even then we have players that can replace them. This team can break Detroits playoff streak.

Vanish'n Rash
Even then you'd still be paying Stash basically 9 mil for 1 year with retention of nash's contract, and then even though our Center depth is there, losing Nash's two-way game will kill us. He may not be a point per game player in the regular season or playoffs but he still is the great Two-way forward for the Rangers. Honestly for me i think were set on the roster as is. Let players like Andersson, Chytill and Bo fight it out for the last center position and slot who ever in the 3rd line center. Hayes will become our 2nd line center and with the bigger responsibility you'll see that he will start to produce. I think only move that needs to be done is to get rid of Holden and split time with Staal and Bereglazov. King Henry will be able to play his game now with this revamped defense and less shots taken will maybe even safe his energy for the playoffs.

Rangers Need a Center
Duchene is good but Skjei and even Fast can become stars one day. I know Fast is on the 4th line and all but he is probably one of if not the most important Depth piece the Rangers have on their roster. He is one hell of a player. If played on the first line i can see him getting close to 60-70 points a season.

Because why not 2018
If it was this team in 2018 then that is definitely a step down. Your best defense man and captain traded to the AV's? That would kill all chemistry they have and alot of the rookies still arent ready. Only real close one is Lias Andersson. Vesey would get more, close to like 3-4mil a year also.

Trade with Toronto (Thoughts?)
Does everyone forget that this is Nash's last year on his contract. Yeah it's not great at 7.8 mil but for one year we can deal with that. Then we can re sign him probably to somewhere around 5.5mil for a couple years. That pay cut can go to signing Hayes, Miller, Skjei and Vesey to decent deals. After this year the Rangers have about 25 mil in cap space without buying Staal out. I think they can manage that.

NYR after signing of Zib
I mean Granlund did have 32 points on a Vancouver team who basically are only the Sedin Twins now. He's 24 so you'll give up some prospects that you don't know if they will turn out good and we would not miss them because we already started stockpiling on younger players that are already NHL ready. Just imagine how many points he can put up on a line with Nash and Miller. Maybe like 50-60? So that already replaces Step and also is 3 years younger which we can probably re sign for relatively cheap(2-3 years at 2.5mil).
