<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cody_tugak</b></div><div>Joseph on the second line? Are you ok my friend?</div></div>
He played with Tkachuk and Norris when he was first traded to Ottawa, scored 12 pts in 11 games

His speed and forecheck are definitely an asset, would turn a lot of pucks over for Norris and Batherson to create scoring chances. Sure he's not a "legit top-6 forward" but even his offense is underrated. He scored a lot of ES goals/points with the little ice-time he had in Tampa Bay.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>At least I’m not delusional thinking I’m getting a 1st for taking Joseph</div></div>
It's much worse when you couple it with thinking that Scott freaking Laughton is worth 1st + 2nd

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McSorley</b></div><div>I don't understand how Sens fans can be hyped for their season when you look at the RW, C, and LW spots, they suck. Goaltending is below mid. Outside of Sanderson, Tkachuk, Stutzle, and maybe Chychrun there's nothing really there to be high on.</div></div>
Well most likely just troll/provocative post but still going to address it :

Center line is supposed to be Stutzle-Norris-Pinto-Kastelic

- Stutzle paced for 95 pts starting the season as a 20 y/o
- Norris scored 47 goals in 91 games, prior to last season, at 21-22 y/o. But not only that, he's a top notch 200 ft Center
- Pinto scored 20 goals as a rookie after missing a full season, but not much compared to where he's heading as a 2-way Center
- Kastelic is huge, a fitness freak, pretty decent defensively and was Top-12 in FO% in his rookie season

RW is supposed to be Giroux-Batherson-Tarasenko-Joseph

- Giroux, who is aging like fine wine, scored 35 goals (career high) and 79 pts last season while bringing an excellent 2-way game
- Batherson "only" scored 62 pts last season but he had a rookie as a Center (who had missed a full season) and a disinterested guy in DeBrincat. Not only that, he was still recovering from a serious injury from that Dell cheapshot. He looked like the pre-injury Batherson in preseason, when he was the best Sens player (and had 34 pts in 31 games)
- Tarasenko : only 50 pts in 69 games last season but paced for 90 pts the season before. Not bad for your 3rd best RW
- Joseph : elite PKer, pretty good ES defense and even underrated ES production. One of the best skaters in the league, pretty good on the forecheck

LW is supposed to be Tkachuk - Kubalik - Greig - Smejkal

- Tkachuk, shouldn't have to explain anything about this PPG unicorn power forward
- Kubalik : pretty decent secondary scorer, another 20 goals season, 45 pts last year. Literally the guy who takes the most slapshots in the league per minutes he plays, which creates a lot of offense.
- Greig : blue chip 2-way forward prospect, always impressive advanced stats. Smart as hell, projects as a Jaden Schwartz type
- Smejkal : unknown in the NHL but pretty good stats in the Liiga and SHL the last 2 years. Left a very good impression in the TC, big body with some skill

Goaltending is supposed to be Korpisalo - Forsberg - Sogaard - Merilainen - Mandolese

- Korpisalo has actually been good since his hip surgery in March 2022, sometimes a surgery is all it takes to turn a career around.
- Forsberg was one of the best goalies in 2021-22, 12th best GSAA similar to Demko, 0.917 SV% on a team that was bad defensively is quite impressive. Again, he has shown in preseason how good/underrated he was
- Mandolese is my 3rd here because he's more NHL ready than the other 2 who are still pretty young and need more development. Mando actually looked quite good when he played in the NHL.

Defense is Chychrun-Sanderson-Chabot-Zub-Brannstrom

- Hard to say who is the better among the first 3 guys, they are 3 legit #1 D-men which is actually a LOT to look forward to
- Zub is a good defensive RHD, was in the top 10% percentile in EV defense in the recent past
- Brannstrom was literally the best or one of the best #5 D-men last season, fantastic 2-way metrics. The thing is he looked even better when Chabot was injured and his minutes got higher. Looks like he's going to take another step from the pre-season.

Sens lost 2 pre-season games and the 2 times it was a Habs almost NHL lineup. Sens were icing Greig, Kubalik, Joseph, Brannstrom and some AHLers/prospects, came close to beat them in both games.
