Lmao. I bet Drury jumps all over that deal, especially with 50% retained.
As much as Rangers fans can't stand it, Schneider is 100% NOT untouchable and definitely on the table. Any deal for Miller starts with Schneider and a 1st. Chytil has been highly disappointing since being drafted and doesn't have much value right now so I can't see him being a deal breaker in any deal.
If you want a good player, you have to give up something good in return 🤷🏻♂️

That's probably about the price although not likely that Vancouver retains at all cause they'll be a high enough market for him that they won't need to

For some reason the first seemed too rich to me given the prospects included for a rental. Interesting note though on the draft pick value chart, I can see that given the 1st would be late in the round.</div></div>
I’ll be interested to see how it shakes out. Sakic has been pretty conservative at the deadline recently so this might be the time he decides to push all his chips in, like you said. Avs aren’t the only team with few/no blue chip prospects either. Some of teams rumored to be involved with Chychrun (Boston, NYR) may have to go the quantity-over-quality route to get a trade like that done. Should be an interesting next couple of months.

Canucks aren't looking to move Poolman, yeah it's not a great contract, but he's played well enough as a 3rd pair defender to stay on the time for the time being

I don't see the Leafs being a good fit for Chychrun. If he were a right d then yes. Overall the package you offered would be fair.

Buddy imma a leafs fan... Leafs gotta dump Mrazek to sign Campbell. Holl is not needed next year with the strides Liljegren is taking and that 2M can be spent better somewhere else. In terms of Steeves he probably can be taken out of the deal but in my eyes you need a sweetener for Mrazek being sent to EDM.

Mrazek is gonna be the reason the leafs can't sign Campbell and no one is paying for an injury prone goalie.

What if 2015 went differently
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>eVANder</b></div><div>4 game winning streak. Canucks are a wagon.</div></div>
Lol.
So you asked the question. What if it had been different.
Well. Chabot, unlike having a direct path to playing time in Ottawa, toils in the minors for another couple of years before either he or Krug is traded.
Barzal, not a big goal scorer, more a creator and playmaker, skills are wasted and development slowed on 3rd line in Boston for years with terrible wings and playing a checking role.
Connor is an upgrade over Debrusk.
And who knows how every draft and offseason goes after that. Maybe they lose out on MaCavoy the next year as someone else takes him because their draft in 2015 was altered by Bostons picks. Maybe Boston finishes higher in the standings and drop in the draft.
Bottom line, nobody knows, they could be better off, they could be worse. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s funny that non-Bruins fans obsess about it more than Bruins fans do tho.

What if 2015 went differently
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>eVANder</b></div><div>"Obsess" is strong but I'm sure bruins fans are thinking about it more this season. Either way it's hard not to wonder. Did the same thing with Canucks a couple of days ago, looking at their picks over the years. Just missed on Nylander, Pasta, Shea Theodore and Tkachuk. Interesting to think about. Emphasizes the value of first round picks and how they can setup or tank a franchise.</div></div>
Most Bruins fans don’t give it a second thought. Just the ones that complain about everything. This team will win 6-1 and 20% of the fan base will complain about who didn’t score, the goal they allowed, who they beat. Etc etc. Those are the “fans” that whine about a draft from 6 years ago. The real fans are only focused on the next game on the schedule. Yesterday is gone.

Hindsight is 2020. The one thing the Canucks haven’t been awful at is drafting. Our main core: Pettersson, Hughes, Demko, Horvat, Boeser and guys like Hoglander, Podkolzin we’re all drafted by Vancouver. Draft a guy like Tkachuk and maybe we don’t get Pettersson… you can play hindsight for every team

Move Pearson
Pearson is a solid middle six winger, capable of scoring 20+ goals in a season, plus he's defensively responsible. $3.5M might have been an overpay for him, however I think that he could have got that in free agency this offseason somewhere else. The Canucks have the cap room to sign Hughes and Petey to reasonable contracts, and I believe they will.
