Try making a post with the Rangers 22/23 lineup. Really not cap practical for the Rangers.
The Edmonton trade.....think Canucks might just be happy to get rid 2.75m Poolman for three full years......so not picks included

Rangers shouldn’t make a huge splash like this yet. The team is too inexperienced in terms of playoffs to be close to winning and likely wouldn’t do much in those 2 years with Miller anyway.

I don't disagree actually. I would just be happy to get out from under the pool man contract. He's a league min player.

If Vancouver could get 1 of those prospects and a first they should do it, definitely not getting both though

The want would be Schneider for sure, but Miller's value is sky high right now and with another year on the deal, he's not just a rental. New York may not be ready to go all in and make this type of a deal right now but I think JT could command this, especially at his AAV.

I wouldn't call Poolman a league min player, he's pretty clearly worth south of 2 million, but he's still very much an NHL regular, and NHL regulars don't make as little as league min. Canucks aren't looking to try and get out from under his contract, he's been playing decently well as a 3rd pair defender, unlike a guy like Patrik Nemeth who hasn't been that good this season

Canucks aren't looking to move Poolman, yeah it's not a great contract, but he's played well enough as a 3rd pair defender to stay on the time for the time being
