Not at that price he's not. Dzingel is going to be $4M to $4.5M and likely 3 or 4 years.

Very unlikely, if they do trade Anisimov the top priority would be another 3C to replace him.

I completely disagree with your goalie assessment. Delia has been serviceable in the NHL, but nowhere near starter caliber. People say his stats look bad because of the defense in front of him, and while that’s partially true, he still made a number of unforced errors that cost us goals. Delia’s ceiling is almost definitely as a backup, which is why they got Lehner in the first place.

Only 2 moves left

I think we're going to see a rotation of Kubalik, Perlini, Sikura, and possibly Quenneville until they find three guys that can stick in the top 9 winger positions. Makes me nervous though as I see all of them as middle 6 players and none of them as a top line winger.
Also, if we move Anisimov, I wonder if Shaw plays 3C or if we bring up Kurashev or Entwistle and juggle them with the 4C with Kampf. Again, if we can't find a top line winger then Shaw will likely get pushed up and we'll need another center.

Kahuna-Maattata Trade and more
Good thoughts!
I would keep the Debrincat/Strome/Perlini line together. Perlini just needs some consistency. It's the same thing Strome was going through except Strome received consistency and Perlini didn't. Perlini's ceiling is high.
As for the #1LW...It'll be a trial by fire IMO. Kubliak will get the 1st chance due to his play in a professional league and at worlds. If not him...I'm actually really high on Kurashev. He was very noticeable in Hawks camp last year and a hat trick in the U20 is no small feat...even if it was against Denmark. Both Kubliak and Kurashev have a snipe to compliment Kane's.
From what I've ready about Kirby is that he's a true center. I don't envision him playing wing. I'd put him between BOTH Saad and Shaw and watch the strong cycle game they have. Kirby is young, but at 6'4" 200 lbs...he'll learn to excel as a young guy there. AT THE VERY LEAST...Saad/Shaw won't let anything happen to him.
I think Dahlstrom is on the outs and maybe AA too. The TDL will be very interesting. Gus on a 1 year UFA. Crow/Lehner on 1 year UFA. I guess it depends on how the Hawks are doing in February. They'll be fun to watch!

the only reason i could see him waive it is two reasons:
1. he is from Vancouver- so be nice and close to home
2. be on a team with MCDavid.. not the biggest sacrifice.

Clearing cap to sign a player sounds completely reasonable.
Anisimov is probably gone now that they have Shaw and Murphy is the odd man out on D with the surplus there and being the most tradable.

Both sides are thrilled with this. Vegas gets a team friendly deal, and Karlsson can settle his family into a place that he loves to be for the next 8 years. This is a prime example of money not being everything to a player, which is nice to see nowadays (although I get why it's rare).

With a healthy Karlsson they could have won the Cup. No one else has 2 Norris trophy defensemen in their lineup.
Knowing that the Sharks are in win-now mode, would you as SJ's GM really pass on this guy because the deal is a bit too long???

That's fair and He certainly dominated at worlds just a few weeks ago. I just worry about his lack of NHL production while still getting that mega contract. You're probably right, that he'll bounce back...it's just a concern right now.

Over payment for Kap both in the trade and signing. That should be close to even trade for Murphy, maybe hawks throw in a 5th rounder or later and Kap isn't worth more then $4M, $3.75M would be ideal.

Chicago Blackhawks signed Philipp Kurashev (3 Years / $925,000 AAV)
Kurashev is playing really well. He's a steal of a 4th rounder. His training camp last year was one of the most under-rated camps I've seen in a while. Everyone was so focused on Boqvist/Beaudin/Mitchell, the "new" Entwhistle, and even Jake Wise came in with some fan fair...that Kurashev just quietly scored a few goals. He was also a force in World Juniors with 6 goals and 1 assist in 7 games. Not to mention PPG+ in the QMJHL. Now.....none of this guarantees anything, but I'm excited for this signing as I fully believe he'll be a contributor in a year or two.

Finally, now we are step closer to seeing a line that I was predicting for a while: Kubalik - Kurashev - Kahun
Or maybe, if this kid is progressing nicely we will see Anisimov traded somewhere and the following line might emerge at some point: Panarin - Kurashev - Kane (of course if they choose to get Panarin back).

Optimistic Blackhawks 2019
Still doesn't feel like enough to me. I don't think we have a strong defense or defensive forwards so whereas this will improve us offensively, I still see overall defense as a major concern. If a team shuts down the second line it will still be difficult to find secondary scoring. I could see these guys competing for a wildcard spot but losing in the first round again if they do make the playoffs. I think Ian Mitchell could be third pair defense with Seabrook playing his off side. Then I would use some of that cap space for stronger 2C/3C cause I'm not sold on Strome being 2C and would move Sikura to wing on 3rd line. We can also probably resign Perlini for 1.5M or less since he's yet to record a point for us, but given how much Stan gave Gus and Manning, I wouldn't put it past him to overpay.
If you can't tell I'm very pessimistic about our future.

I didn't realize how good Sandstrom was until I looked up his numbers. Almost a point/game in the NHL, close to that in the SHL. A Stanley Cup and a World Championship, along with a Olympic Bronze. Played on some powerhouse teams (Pittsburgh, Detroit, LA).
