Noah Dobson is worth more than that and their not gonna give you a second
Vegas would want someone who doesn't cost as much

The best return they can get from the Islanders is Bode Wilde + 1st round pick for Tatar with retention.

LMAO!!! That Columbus trade is awful!!!!!! We aren’t trading our 2020 1st or Peeke.... we also have 0 need for Tatar.... we need a center not a wing. If we were to make that package it would be for Domi or Danault.... not a wing.

habs trade deadline
I'm pretty sure MB wont trade Petry (or TT) just for the sake of trading them. This Petry trade is exactly not what MB would want. A first and a solid prospect would have to come out of this trade. I really feel like VGK would be an amazing fit for him. Their first (top 10 protect), a second and a guy like Dorofeyev or Morozov would makes it done.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hyawkus</b></div><div>Wow you did not hold back. I feel like they're better off trading the majority of those contracts instead of buying them out. If Kappo is as good as he seems to be, in 3 years someone's gonna need to give him 8 figures.</div></div>
They are probably better off dumping them instead of buying them out, but as I said in the description, I wasn't going to tackle that.

Karlssons Sharks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hyawkus</b></div><div>the two should be moved to alleviate cap space and get useful future assets. With 26.5M per year for 3 defs, you'll need to have some cheap ELCs for the next 6 years to still be contenders</div></div>
They've got guys in the wings. Doug Wilson has done a ridiculously good job of not only hitting on the rare 1st round pick they keep but also signing long term the guys they trade 1st round picks for. In order to stay competitive, you have to find useful players later in the draft or via Free Agency which he has also done.
If they can avoid having to trade either, thats a very solid D-corps. If they have to trade one in order to keep enough pop up front, that can be done too. I'd be surprised to see them move both.

CAL PIT trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hyawkus</b></div><div>Hudon should definitely be in Rutherford's mind, he'll come cheap. But he will probably do a Duclair and hit UFA status. As for the trade, why not do a 2nd if Jarry appears in 30 games (for the Habs) and the Habs make the playoffs, if not just a 3rd?</div></div>
I think the conditional pick is a smart move, and could totally be worth it in the end. Even if he does play in 20-30 games, his next contract would still come on cheap. I think your idea of a 3rd rounder (2nd if he plays in X of games) is enough to get the trade done in itself. Again, I just think it's so hard to gauge goalies and what they are worth until they play enough NHL games. But at least with Jarry it's more of a gamble for a future goalie rather than a back up, like Cam Talbot or Jake Allen would be.

if its for a bonafide top 4 young left shot D who can skate, i think he'll be more then willing to trade a 1st rd pick.

Forget that perry trade that make no sense for a rebuilding team to trade one of their best prospect just to clear some cap
Edit : I just went to see there cap situation, Anaheim has all theire player sign for next season...

Especially the Colorado trade. Girard is worth way more than that. His stock never stopped rising since he have been draft. Let's change the 3rd for a 1st, and that's a starter. And I dont know why the Avs, who are on their way to a contending team, would move Girard.

Patches for Bread-Man Doozy
Panarin -Danault- Byron (skill and speed with Danault there to win faceoffs )
Domi-Drouin-Gallagher (Drouin needs Faceoff Help so Domi can help him on 2nd line with that)
Lehkonen-Plekanec-Armia (Shutdown Line of Defensive forwards with scoring capability at the bottom 6 level )
Hudon-Peca-Scherbak (this line has the potential to steal minutes from top lines if they play well together using their Speed and Skill)
Deslauriers
Mete-Petry
Alzner-Juulsen
Reilly-Benn (Benn played 90% of his career at RD in DAL)
Moravcik (if he can adjust to the speed of the NHL he'll be a dominate force on our LD)

Too much for MTL to give up for Panarin. And the conditions don't make any sense. Conditions would be based on re-signings of each player.

MTL quick fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hyawkus</b></div><div>True. Maybe a bit of a reach. Do you think MTL gets him by adding in a 2018 2nd rounder as long as Pacioretty verbally resigns with Panthers and no 3rd rounder is sent as a condition?</div></div>
The answer is still No, like previously stated he is signed for 8 years at under $5 million per season. And if the Domi trade was any indications MB’s prices aren’t as high as people are hoping.
