Projected Lines IMO

Zucker-Crosby-Guentzel

Personally not a fan of Marleau in the top 6. He can still skate but he did not seem to have enough scoring touch left. I dont mind Guentzel on the right but i loved what the Guentzel-Geno-Rust line showed. And ya Riikola would be preferred but JJ's style may be a benefit for the playoffs(he says with some hope)

Both, those type of players normally dont get dealt until later in their careers. at this point, i believe both teams consider them untouchable

Well, Pettersson was forced to take a discount this season, i was trying to take that into account. I expect Murray to make around there but his value is difficult to gauge.

I believe he is more of a 3rd liner. He reminds me of a better finishing Simon but not consistent what-so-ever. Would prefer him on the 3rd line with the ability to fill in if needed.

Now i did this quickly, but there isnt much room here as Pittsburgh would need another LD to at least split time with Riikola and Lafferty shouldn't be full time 3rd liner. Kahun probably shouldnt be in the top six either, so they would need another top 6 forward which isnt cheap. Burns at 8 M for 5 years makes things difficult.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yikes</b></div><div>Real talk, is Murray resigning i personally see him changing scenery, won the cup, been lights out, and now struggling and lost his position. I personally see him changing teams.
Murray’s 3 mil goes to jarry likely, and idk what the cap situation would be for McCann and Kahun and Simon leftover but at a chance for another cup it’d be close. I’m going to look at the long term pens cap with this move now</div></div>
I dont see Murray or Jarry moving until maybe mid season next season. GMJR will want them both for a cup run this season as Jarry still has a small sample size. Murray has also won 5 straight starts. DeSmith is the most likely to move but doubt he does as GMJR loves his goalie depth. I dont see the cap to get Burns still. Look forward to looking at your post.

Moving those two out opens up cap to resign guys like McCann, Kahun, Simon, Jarry, and Murray as well as would give flexibilty to resign schultz. Simply cant afford another 8 million dollar 30+ year old even though he is awesome.</div></div>

Hope you realize that Pittsburgh can't take that Burns cap hit. Buffalo should jump on that, losing Cozens would suck but Couture is exactly the type of player they are missing, an above average 2C.

Ok i dont view him as top six but i havent watched him play either. even if he has top 6 potential i dont believe that it changes my above comments that that package is still not enough for dumba, especially with the retention

Im curious why Minni would do that? Even without retention, he is a top 4 defenseman. Bracco is a potential top nine forward and AJ is currently a top 9 forward. Barrie holds little value to Minny without an extension.

Nobody in their right minds wants that contract for a guy who can't stay on the ice and besides a couple seasons hasn't put up much in terms of production. If you include him, you're going have to pay a 1st round pick since it's a late one, plus one of Legare, Hallander, or Joseph. Hawks would retain $1M on Saad and give you back that 4th rounder. No way the Hawks touch this as proposed.</div></div>
This is a joke, right? Bjugstad is worth probably around a 3rd. No way is a 1st needed to move him

If Pittsburgh can make the cap work they accept easily. Moving down probably 10-20 spots with downgrading at forward(is it really) and getting a top 6 LHD. Accepted all day long

Pens are not interested in moving McCann so they decline. As for the Montreal deal, i think if you take out one of the 3 assets coming back it isn’t terrible, but still unlikely Montreal accepts.

Pittsburgh declines quite easily. Mitts hasnt shown at the nhl level that he can produce. RR helps but Pittsburgh needs for of a 3rd pairing guy for next season. While the picks are nice, Pittsburgh is still trying to win so they dont do much.

Had a difficult time figuring out what Chucky was worth. Timmins made sense but could be a lower tier guy. Basically need someone who will be a NHL defenseman next season but not this season.
