Pens are not interested in moving McCann so they decline. As for the Montreal deal, i think if you take out one of the 3 assets coming back it isn’t terrible, but still unlikely Montreal accepts.

why would Habs add the 2nd pick? seems like an overpayment for some depth guys

That would be so nice.

The question is...would McCann cost similar or more than Zucker? Or will he cost in the 3-4 million range? If McCann wants 5+ million, I think it’s an interesting deal for the pens at the very least. If McCann is only gonna get 3-4 million then its a loss for the pens.
