with the exception of missing poitras, i'm pretty cool with this. still don't really like lindholm but at 4 years its not terrible.

Joel Eriksson Ek would be an excellent fit in Boston but I can't see either Guerin or Sweeney making this deal
Poitras is too valuable to the Bruins and his potential ceiling does seem higher than JEE

I can't see the Bruins trading Geekie, he's a great value signing and Kalrsson may have had a "bounce back" year, but he's on the wrong side of 30. The Bruins have been an "old team" for a decade, they need to get younger.
Ericsson Ek is too good a deal for the Wild to trade for any package.

Now would Vegas get a better offer than that? Almost certainly.</div></div>
You can pursue Lindholm or Stephenson. Karlsson seems like another third line center option as opposed to a top 6 replacement

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>The moment we acquired Peeke, I think it made Bahl less of an option. There are lots of deals with NJ possible if both sides believe that is what they want.
I think the cleanest deal is the 2025 first for Ullmark. Maybe Holtz depending on what NJ views as their cap preference to keep.</div></div>
Agreed - I don't think a Peeke/Bahl combo would play to either of their strengths. Much rather target Holtz or Casey in an Ullmark deal.
<a href="/users/jastone" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@jastone</a> Freddy and Geekie's next deals are probably in the $4-5.5M AAV territory and cap is expected to continue to go up. I agree with the notion of being somewhat frugal, but I think we can afford to add another $4-5M vet on either LHD or to the middle 6

I like the base of Debrusk+ for Mangiapane, I do think the deal would get caught up in retention and ultimately fall through. Unless the extension was in place prior to the deal I can't see Calgary retaining. Interesting thought though.

that being said, i think boston needs to find a way to clear the cap to get beecher up. he fills such a clear need.

Poitras back
Sharks actually traded for Kunin the year before this offseason. He was just injured most of the year. I think they'd be lucky to get a pick higher than a 5th right now.
And Sharks definitely won't want Grzelcyk. They have a TON of LD that are either already playing or will be in the NHL next year. Ferraro, Thrun, and Mukhamadullin are all preferred over Grzelcyk as puck moving D on that Left side. They'll also still have Vlasic, Pulli, and Knyzhov

You actually built a solid team here and i think the value is about fair for all those trades, might have to take back some cap from CGY to help them out
Only complaint would be that Halak is garbage, rather go for a different vet backup
Overall well done

My sweet heavenly father, three trades on this site that make sense for both sides and have appropriate returns....
It's a sign of the end times....
Edit: I'm glad you brought back Berg even though he's 90% going to retire. Couldn't be 100% realistic. :)

Bruins V5
1. My belief is Calgary hangs up
2. LA trade needs more money coming to the Bruins to be realistic.
Sean Durzi is the type of player you want on your team and the type of player you are always trying to replace with younger, cheaper talent. I’d hate for him to be the base in a Ullmark deal, because there is no upside. Think of him as the equivalent of Trent Frederic of defense. He has some really interesting skills and a great attitude, but his game lacks some important parts.
To give context, Boston fans want Reilly off the team. If Mike Reilly and Sean Durzi made the same money, Reilly is the better player. He may not have the undersized I’ll show you different attitude that resonates when you watch Durzi, but he’s a better player both ways with a lot of Durzi’s benefit coming on the PP.
The player I’d target is Francesco Pinelli, because I think the Kings need to manage the risk around Turgeon. Ive accepted that a trade with the Kings includes Iafallo or Arvidssen with a strong preference towards Iaffallo.
