Why would you want to trade Sprong? Sprong has been considered untouchable for a reason. Sprong has also come up and produced. I am keeping Sprong. Who is a winger that Crosby likes to play with. Speed.

Trade w/ Carolina (And Its Not For Staal)
I would never trade nor imagine trading Malkin. especially if that meant Staal as the second line Center. He struggles as it is in Carolina as a top center. Hes a great 3C.

All Over Paid NHL Team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EthanK24</b></div><div>I agree with almost everything but what is Price doing there? He is as valuable to Montreal as Kane is to Chicago, Crosby is to Pittsburgh, or McDavid is to Edmonton.</div></div>
He is there because he is 29. His contract is ridiculous for a goalie. He will slow down halfway through that contract if he stays healthy and halfway if they are lucky. Teams that pay goalies that much pay for it in the end. See the Rangers and King Henrik.

Two major trades
Im just trying to defend my trades. You have to give to get. Look at what the Pens gave up for Reeves. Giving up Hagelins contract is worth the extra player too.

Thread:
Two major trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Willian_Cardoso</b></div><div>Sorry, but I can't understand both of your trades.
You gave more for Kane than you gave for Duchene. Even as a Pens fan, I'm sure you're far from the Duchene's true value with that trade. And I'm sure Kane doesn't deserves that much. I'm pretty sure that not just myself but every Pens fan would be angry if JR made a trade like that for a guy like Kane.
As for Niemi...I think Elliot deserves more than him a chance to a bounce back season, cause he's 15/16 season was huge.</div></div>
The reason for giving more for Kane, is that the Avs/Duchene/his agent are all fed up with each other. So I'm going with the reports that the organization and Duchene are at ends. Plus his points were way down last year. You have to give to get. You can't trade all our bad players for all their good players.

You do realize that the cap hit is per year right....who in their right mind is going to pay daley 5mil a year.....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>flyguycg28</b></div><div>No GM in their right mind is going to trade for Oli maata especially for the rights to a top 6 forward. He's a liability on the blue line and his cap hit is way too high for his play. Also, You're going to have to give Vegas more than that for Nate Schmidt they are convinced he's a top 4 defenseman for the next 5 years.</div></div>
Um. Idk if you watched any of the Pens in the playoffs, but he was about as solid as you can be. Sure he has his gaffes and gaps in play but EVERY dman does. Considering the past couple years Oli has had, cancer and all, hes highly thought of in the league. Enough actually for the Pens to protect him. Oh plus hes 23. Hes a top 4 d. The Vegas deal can be altered. They need centers. Oskar is young. Talented. Picked up his offense last year. The Patriots of the NHL. Pittsburgh loves it.

grub had better stats this year then fluery and most of the starters in the nhl but i assume you know nothing about hockey due to that statement.....also no anger besides how delusional pens fans are bout the value of fluery.
also 5 teams need goalies.........2 got goalies...bishop being the best available...vegas has the ability to get a lot of talent in goal and winn and buff dont really need huge upgrades in goal and idk if fluery iss a huge upgrade to what they have already
oh yeah jitta18 rumor at the deadline was cal offered a 1st for grub but im sure you know that bc you are very smart</div></div>
Wait, what rumor? I think @Jitta18 may have had timing wrong. From what I know, prior to Calgary acquiring Brian Elliot the Caps had discussed a deal for Phillip Grubauer, but that was never around a deadline, that was offseason.</div></div>
yes. thank you. awful timing with that.

It would be in the best interest for MAF to be traded. It would only make sense to him to become a free agent. But MAF has been there and done that. Hes won cups. Gotten paid. Why would you not want to go to a place and be the number 1 solidified goalie for a brand new team. Being the first goalie ever for that team. Nobody wants Grub. He is the backup for a reason. Im sure a lot of goalies could have as great a season as him when you have the 2 time Presidents trophy winning team playing in front of you. Maybe they should have started him in goal instead of Holtby if he is that intriguing. This whole page just wreaks of jealousy and anger towards the Pens/MAF.</div></div>

Thank you. I my sports knowledge is vast. I don't sit in dwell in what could have been with the teams. If pgh's fans know anything, its how to look towards the future and fairness for deals. We can thank the Pirates for that. Besides, if you aren't at least somewhat delusional with your hometown/favorite teams, then you aren't a fan. Situations like this are called hypotheticals for a reason. Except when you have hockey writers everywhere tweeting and reporting that a deal for MAF is said to be in place after the playoffs end. MAF is better than Darling. I really don't think Grub could do what MAF has done with as bad as the Pens D has been. So go ahead. Once again fire away at Pgh fans because you watched the Caps be competitive for the last year. Unless they find a huge way to reload their draft picks and sign their big names, have fun battling the likes of the devils. So I understand your frustration. Like I said, we have the Pirates. I get it.

No. MAF will be traded. Why would they buy him out when there are at least 2 teams interested in trading him. Other than that with how often Murray gets hurt, they would just keep him. He still has at least 3 decent years left. Rumors are LV and the Pens already have a deal in place for MAF. Without MAF the pens would be golfing instead of the Caps.

I think this Is a terrific proposal to see the Pens build on what is a dynasty in the NHL. Real value for how MAF has been playing.
